"a chick car"? - 6G Celicas Forums
im horrible with money to. i got 500 on tuesday and was down to 100 on wednesday
if i was controlling money i would be spending it all on me :-D
good thing i ran out of money cuz now i get to ask for
Coach shoes and business card holder for my bday instead of buying it myself!

celica is a picking up chick car, i cant tell you how many girls have asked me for rides, its ridecoulous (sp), its not to bad driving around with 3 girls in the car >

hmm... i think celicas became chick cars once they went FWD... lol... Around here, there are 4 6th gens in my town (including mine) that I know of. 2 are driven by older women in their at least late 30's (one is a real estate agent), and the other 2 gay guys >

i half to say that i think there a chick car, i see tons of chicks drivin them, not as many as civics but still, basicly i think that its a chick car untill you fix it up, than its just your car because theres nothing else like it on the road. unless you drive a civic, integra, accord, jetta, neon, miata, gulf, etc. there cars that no matter how differant you make it look there are gana be 10-20 that look just like it.
the 6gc's have curves, lines, and contours that are sexy and make you think more of the female gender than of the male gender. I think this is why it is called a "chick car". Personally, I prefer to be assosiated with a woman rather than a man >> , even when refering to my celica. All the greatest cars are named after women.

yeah my dad bought my car for me, cuz he said it looked cool, origanlly i was between the celica a yellow mustang and a eclipes but i ened up with the celica. my friends call it a girls car but then i just say hey atleast i have one lol, or for the friends that do have cars my celica is fastest out of all of em.

i agree..i was with my freinds the otherday at the popcicle store and i parked next to an mr-s and their was a group of kids from my school and the two guys in the grouped looked at the mr-s and the four girls were checking out my celica.... Honestly I rather attract a chick then a rooster.

yeah, my car has been called a chick car. but it seems that girls like it alot. and guys are starting to respect it a little more now with the mods. and people with "guy's cars" can laugh all they want all the way to the gas station, then we'll see who's laughing

Chick car!?!?! Well show me a chick car than can corner faster than the the new SI (which i did)!!!Hell no...the 7th gen is a chick car!!! They didn't even get a turbo model!!!! At least the 6 gen is related to the GT4.
It does help break the ice with the ladies tho...they think its cute...in a manly sort of way!!!

Wow I guess im the only one who thinks my 6gc is a chick car, it gets decent gas milage, has a decent ammount of room, quiet (as wierd as this last one sounds) every chick car ive been in, has a mirror under the sunvisor of the driver.
Honesty I don't even know a male 6th gen driver, My girlfriend and a female friend drive them. Also I notice their are alot of females on here compared to any 240 boards I've been on. I think the reason for that is that the 6th gen is just a really handsome looking car. But then again alot of girls drive eclipses and mustangs.
It's a chick car.

I think when people say it's a "chick car", means that they always see a female driving the car, it's really rare seeing a guy driving the car.
Around LA, specially San Gabriel, only OLD females drive celica... ****ing all beat up too... When I actually see a dude driving a celica, usually it's all fixed up, all bad ass and ****.

The Celi 6gen is a real 'Chick Magnet' rather than a chick car!
In the south UK, I see mostly guys driving in Black (like myself) or White cars, Women in silver or red or other metallics.

Ill summerize agian
1) Underpowered
2) Feminine Styling
3) FWD (just not my thing)
4) Not agreesive enough to throw into corners
5) -this one is more of a personal thing- A mirror under the sun visor.
the s2000 is a chick car to, not by its mechanical standards, but its visual styling. Doesnt mean i dont like it, just think it supposed to have a chick behind the wheel.
And we are discussing the celica, not a modded celica to the max. And theres nothing wrong with owning a chick car, I just dont think if a car rolled up next to you, you could "grunt" it away. But then agian, when I was 10 my mother owned a 1969 GTO, SWEEET car.

2) feminine styling is COMPLETELY opinion
- A turboed Beetle (stock turbo) completely contradicts ur first 2 points
- So which would be more of a chick car...a pink Civic w/ purple flower decals that puts out 300 hp...or a black civic with silver racing stripes that puts out 130 hp?
3) and ur other points are still invalid IMO.
Chick cars and Ricers are the most commonly overused words ever and is mis-used too often.
