Main Studs: Studs in the block that have a higher tensile strength than the OEM main bearing bolts.
Head Studs: Studs in the block (also with higher tensile strength) that replace the OEM head bolts.
If you're serious about modifying the 3SGTE, do both, imo. Might want to consider a set of rod bolts too, if you want to use the stock rods.
