After I get the driver's side door painted (repained...) I'm fixin' to get the sucker polished and waxed. I've got too many swirl marks on my new paint job. So what's the best I can get? Don't name any $40 stuff either...or any Turtle Wax products...bad stuff.
Best polish and wax...on a budget - 6G Celicas Forums
One Name:
Meguaires (I think thats the spelling? >

3 stage package:
Body scrub, polish and Wax (carnuba)
The body scrub and polish are clearcoat safe and the
finish awesome, it took most of the swirls of my bodywork,
it would have taken them all off but my arms were just about
dead. Seriously though use an orbital waxer, beg or borrow
one or it could be a good mornings work......

theres a wax called zymol. they are the best i have ever used. looks like a brand new paint job every time and you only need to do it about once every 6 or 7 months.
I use nu finish. It's not a wax but it polishes up your car and makes it looks nice and shiny and new though. Not as hard to use as wax either.
P21s, but usually you'd have to order it online... however, they sell the exact same thing under the name "S100" at harley davidson stores. It should only be $15 a jar. It is, quite literally, one of the best waxes you can possibly buy. It's carnuba based, unlike the polymer based zaino, and is incredibly easy to apply and buff off, looks magnificent, and lasts a long time, too. A lot of pro detailers at autotopia.org use it.
when i first go my car 3 years ago i used the stuff my mom had in her car call NuFinish. I'm not sure how much it cost but after 3 winter my car still shins like new. I remeber the bottle said the wax and the new car shine will last 5 years well i'm almost half way there.

Well, I don't know...I guess I dont' care about the wax as much as the polish. I'll probably get a carnauba based wax, but I've got this crazy scuff mark on my hood on my new paint job...that sucker has to come off, so I need a good polish.
you should go to autopia.org and ask in the forum about how to deal with that. They might recommend some 3M swirl remover or whatnot, and I don't know enough about the strong, more abrasive polishes (other than the p21s/s100 gloss/shine enhancer, which is a mild polish...excellent, too) that you probably need.
