Good god the celica is SLOW i honestly dont hink ive ever ridden in a car as slow as this...i used to have a piece of crap 1988 jeep cherokee that would ut run the celi 0-60 1/4 and top speed im mean its awful...granted though i shouldnt complain too much i mean the windows and air conditioner work in this car >> and the celi does look alot better than the jeep but anyways im gonna stop rambling now

If you want speed, degrade your car. Sell it for the dough buy an oldschool import car and spend the rest on it and you'll have a badass ride. If appearance isn't an issue. One thing may be perfect to leave other things unbalanced ^^

damn i didnt realize everyone was gonna bitch at me for sayin that i just need something faster im more into looks and speed which is wh im gonna try and get a supra sometime this year./......because in my opinion and dont hate me for this but a supras looks compared to a celi(granted a celi is tight) is just so much better

hey, i understand what you mean.....celica isnt a very fast car flat out, but handling is just so tight on these little things. And the looks cant possibly be beat for the money, IMO. But hey, i just try to enjoy what the car does have, not what it lacks. I dunno, maybe im easily amused but i think that even without the speed, this car is awesome to drive. i love crusing in my celica more than going the speed of sound anyway, but thats just me >>

Its not that we're bitchin its that your first post sounded like you were bashing the very car that every one here owns. We all have our opinions but if we wanted a really fast car we would've of bought a CRX and dropped a V-Tech in it. I for now this car isn't the fastest but its a beautiful car to me and after all the mods its going to be unique also. I'm not hating on you, just pointing out the obvious.

i dont plan on getting it till november or so and just cause i dont have money right this secong i mean i just got this car like a month ago or whatever i need a little time to save i wasnt born rich ...although i could probably get my dad to buy me one hes got money hmm... but then again probably not i owe him too much...neways just another point i think that most of you , if offered a 6speed tt supra for your celi you would take it but most of you arent going to say it cause you dont wanna get bitched at...also at least im sticking with toyota and not honda or something although the S2000 is a bad ass car and fun as hell to drive (my dad has one) but neways lets see how much i get flamed for this post

you never really said anything about choosing between a celica and a supra..you said you were going to sell the celica and buy a supra cuz the celica sucked...if i recall right you didnt say anything about offered either or and then choosing..?? >>

let him do what he wants to do. if he wants to sell his celica for a supra, more power to him. if he wants his dad to buy it for him, more power to him. if he doesn't like how slow the celica is, more power to him. there's a difference between turnign someone's opinion into a debatable topic, and turning it into some sort of half-assed flame war: which is what this is.
John's final thought: who cares what he does or says, we all have our own opinions and own ambitions, other's just need to learn to take them w/ open arms.
