i need to oreder a intercooler, andthe one i want is may take a little while to get here

can i mount it and/or drive the car with out the metal piece that the ic is welded to on the car, the ic i want will not fir with it on the car

You mean drive without the front crash support beam? You could, but it'd be illegal, and your car could be damaged very badly from something such as a minor fenderbender.

thats what i thought
i don't think i can mount the ic i want
it's 11.8 in tall and 3 in thick
