Hi,
I'm considering doing an AE101 20 valve 4A-GE or an AE101 4A-GZE this summer if I can get the funds together, and if I do a swap at all I'm definitely going to swap transmissions, because I think my synchros are going bad on my tranny. I was wondering, if I swap a new transmission into my car, will I need to change shift linkage cables, or anything like that, or will the new transmission bolt right up to the existing shift linkage cables?
My friend and I are trying to get an idea of exactly how much work a a-series engine swap would be and what exactly we'd need to do. I've got my parents convinced to let me do the 20 valve 4A-GE...I'm hoping I can get them to let me do the 4A-GZE. >
