ok..well im thinking of doing the swap..but i have an auto. >frown.gif> ...im just wondering if any of the all trac's came in automatic...im gonna convert it to a 5spd anyway, but i was just wondering..thanks

i believe you have to convert to a 5spd

You should have no problem doing the 3sgte with an automatic. You would just use the transmittion you already have. The engine has nothing to do with the transmittion. The 3sge SSII came in an automatic.
