I just bought a 94 corolla with the 1.6L 4AFE motor. Right when you step on the gas its like like bogs down then starts to rev up after a second. What could be the problem? I just changed out the plugs and it still does the same. Anyone had this problem with their celica?

Could be distributor, wires, fuel filter, vacuum leak...i would look over the entire engine anyways since you just bought it, replace the usual stuff.

the bolt from the distributer was loose and the timing was totally retarded. Now it runs perfect! Bling bling

my old dodge did that.. I would say replace your fuel filter, make sure the injector is clean. Also I would say check for vacum leaks.. those are norm the biggist things..
i just said what was wrong with it above....distributer bolt was loose and timing was WAY retarded. That was IT!
