Houston Toyota Club - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #14756 17 posts Started by Negative
To anybody who missed the last Hooter's meet - you really missed out. I don't have the exact count but all told we had around 30-35 Toyotas - around 25 of which were Celicas (5th, 6th, and 7th gens). We even had an All-trac (T-spoon) and a GT2 (name withheld by request). We all lined up for some very cyprus-like photos and panaramic shot's (if anyone wants to host them let me know). We completely blew up the OC meet after hooter's and were just arriving at the Sam's Club meet to cap the night off with a little racing when the cops broke it up. Some of us went back to my house for beers until about 4:00AM. Everyone had such a great time that after multiple requests David (Badazzgt) and I have decided to start a Houston Toyota Club.
The first meet will be held this Saturday at either the Hooter's on Westheimer or the one at Willowbrook Mall again - which ever would be more convenient for the most people. It will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 and we will be discussing the direction for which everyone wants to take this club. So if you guys are interested I would suggest making this first meet and getting your voice heard.
Many of you in the Houston Area got e-mails and PM's from David and I concerning the last meet and we also posted on everythingcelica.com and houston-imports.com. The turn out was awesome to say the least and we hope to have more cars this time.
Anybody who wants more info can feel free to PM or e-mail me for details.
Our current list of members is already swelling with lots of members form 6GC.net and the other sites. The 6gc'ers are as follows:
Saynug - '94 6th gen
Politicsareevil - '94 6th gen ST
Negative - '99 6th gen GT
Badazzgt - '02 7th gen GT
Brock - '90 MKIII Supra

and probably many more that have not received notice yet. This is the first official posting of this info so we urge everybody who is interested to add yourself to this list and plan to attend at least the Hooter's portion of this Saturday's meet.
David or I will add the list of members from other sites as soon as that info starts to become available.
Everybody sign up - it should be a lot of fun with all the meets and road trips we are planning.
Alright - I got to go home where there is no internet but you guys keep signing up. There is alot more people signing up from the other two sites but 6GC.net is my home. Let's get some more 6th gens involved so we can finally build a reputation for ourselves.
The highlights so far are a 6th Gen GT2, a '97 TRD widebody Supra, and an all-audio Tundra that is unbelievable!
The 6gc'ers are as follows:
Saynug - Red '94 6th gen
Politicsareevil - Green '94 6th gen ST
Negative - Silver '99 6th gen GT
Badazzgt - White '02 7th gen GT
Brock - White '90 MKIII Supra
Greenwindwill - White '99 6th Gen GT

We need more 6th gens! Come on guys nobodies asking you to buy anything - just come by and see what you think!
BTW - we're looking at around 20-25 members signed up so far from the 3 different sites. Don't make 6gc look weak.
I recently got this pic on the way to galveston when Negative was following me. I think its pretty badass for taking the pic at about 85mph and taking the pic through my driver sideview mirror. I just liked the way it looked. So I set it as my desktop

Watch out behind you

I'd be interested too, but a free weekend is a very rare occasion for me. My band is playing 2 nights a week now most of the time so that keeps me busy. But if there is a time I can make I'd love to join you. Put me down as a maybe or whatever you want to call it.
Bigedge169 - As I said the first meet is planned for this Sat. If you could make it that would be cool. If not - no worries - I'm in a band too (sort of - I play all the instruments and do all of the programming, sampling, recording and mastering so I know how time consuming this stuff can be - especially if your actually playing - you suck - I want to be ready for gigs now not later!).
Anyway, I'm way off track again. What about if we have one portion of a future meet at your gig? That would help with your rep anyway - club owners love that sh*t.
Can we put you down as member though and just leave you out of the Location vote?

Everybody:
BTW - Don't let 6GC.net fool you - check everythingcelica.com and especially houston-imports.com - we have alot of people signing up. Check out the crew of 4-6 MKIV Supras on HI. OMFG!
oOoHuY - I knew you'd come through!
Ok that makes the 6gc'ers::
Saynug - Red '94 6th gen
Politicsareevil - Green '94 6th gen ST
Negative - Silver '99 6th gen GT
Badazzgt - White '02 7th gen GT
Overkill - White '90 MKIII Supra
Greenwindwill - White '99 6th Gen GT
oOoHuY - Silver '94 6th Gen ST

Oh and it now appears like the Hooter's at Willowbrook is going to be the place at 7:00-9:00 then the OC meet, then the Sam's meet, then back to my place or Badazzgt's place for beers or whatever. Anyone may come for as much or as little as they want but you guys at least need to be there at 7:00 for th planning meet for this club.
Thanks for the support 6gc - I hope we get a few more.
How about everybody bug T-spoon to bring his 6th Gen and his All-trac again. He's still up in the air about it.

that's right.. pulled that F&F sh*t like you wouldnt believe. >wink.gif>
anyway.. so far so good..

AND AYE TO EVERYONE WHO IS A SMIDGIT SKETCHY.. GO TO THIS MEET.. DO NOT MISS! this weekend should be pretty ground breaking for the Toyota's and this club. AS FAR AS LOCATION..im a fan of the willowbrook, a little more friendly enviornment i think. plus *this is just hear-say* but there is another OC meet saturday, and willowbrook is right down the street. and before i forget, EVERYONE IS URGED TO BUY SOMETHING FROM OSCAR'S CREAMERY. I KNOW I WILL THIS TIME. oh yeah and showing off your sh*t is one thing, but PEOPLE.. LET'S BE REASONABLE.. THIS IS NOT A F*CKING SOUND CONTEST/ DRIFT CONTEST/ AND MOST IMPORTANTLY A SOUND CONTEST!! just have fun and keep it cool. we dont want to have to regulate!!

*shh* the G-ride you gotta see to believe *shh*
I completely agree. Don't forget to support Oscar's creamery for giving us such an awesome legal place to party. No drifting, no Really loud music and take your races down the road a bit. There will be plenty of time for that at Sam's afterwards anyway.
This is the best oportunity for Houston area Toyota owners. This will be a cool way for some of us to show off the work we are all so proud of. There is already going to be a lot of cars and it promises to be a lot of fun. There's going to be 4-9 MKIV Supras, several MR2's (including turbo models) and even a few turbo Celicas! several people are still kicking themselves for missing last weeks gigantic meet - don't miss out.
Bump. BTW - the official meeting place is Hooter's at Willowbrook. If anyone needs directions call Matt @ (281) 345-8694 or David @ (832) 524-3939.

We hope to see lots of you out there. >biggrin.gif>
