Yes but you will not be able to put the oem shock tower plastics from your GT. You'll need to order the GT4 ones or just leave them off, as I did wink.gif

One o'dem crazy Canadian freaks, eh?

since i'm new to the celica, where is a good place to get some inexpensive strut tower bars. i bought the car for $700 and don't plan on doing a lot to the car since it will be my daily driver and possibly rallyx car.

That's fine, I already have them out anyways.

Just for reference, after talking to a Toyota dealership, the GT4 rear bar is no longer made.

Where can I find some in-expensive front and rear strut bars? Someone needs to make replicas of these.

I saw that, but $239 is ridiculous for a STOCK strut bar. Whoever would pay that much is an idiot.

And that front one looks cheap.

-Matt
tottally agree i only paid 70usd for my rear complete but if there hard to find and the front is inexspensive as you asked but me personelly would pay a bit more for cusco etc

i just got the gt-4 rear strut bar, 100 bucks, more then i wanted to pay, but i couldn't get the employee discount cause my friend that works at the dealership JUST quit this week.
but the parts guy was saying that their was only 5 left in the world(I think he meant US) so get them while you can.

I got a quote from a dealership and they said they are no longer available. frown.gif

How much was shipping or did that include it?

-Matt
no shipping, nothing, i talked to the guy yesterday when i took my car in for a timing belt change, we talked for a while when i was paying my bill he decided to order in 3 of them to that dealership. So i came in today to put my name on one that he was bringing in and he walks to the back and comes back with the bar and says "if i see this on ebay i'm gonna be pissed!" i was kinda shocked he actually had it! pictures!

it had one scuff on the right side, but i dont really care, it looks good!

Man, 1sttoyotaparts.com is selling it for $70, do you think I can order it that way, or are all 3 bars at the dealership?

How does it feel compared to before?

-Matt
i'd order it from 1sttoyotaparts, but i dont know how long it would take to get it with shipping. i'm amazed i got mine today, i thought i was gonna have to wait 2-3 weeks or something!
idk, i havent taken it on a "spirited" drive since i've put it on, just ran down to get some paperwork but that was 25 the whole time.
Oh ok. I gotta wait 'til I get paid again. I hope they have some by then. frown.gif
That strut bar looks nice but would it be better than an SS-III or GT-Four Strut tower bar? and I noticed that the JSpeed was on an ST would it fit a USDM ST204 GT model since the Engine is at an Angle?
Hey, where'd you pick that up? Not that I can afford it right now, but I'm curious to know who's got it... PM me if you want
Is there any difference bettween SS-III or GT-Four Rear Strutbrace?

anyone know the part number for the rear strutbrace covers?

So if I was looking for a set of tower bars (front/rear), where's a good place to find 'em for a gentleman in the States? And even more so, when it comes to pricing, should I pay the additional to get something that will last longer (such as...?)?

Installation looks simple... Do I just loosen the bolts, place the tower bar on, and tighten them back down? What's the right amount of "tightness" to apply when bolting everything back together?

For your front suspension, you're gonna want to jack up the front end and get the wheels off the ground before loosening the strut mount bolts and putting your bar on.

IDK if the same applies for the rear. Stands to reason it would, but I'm not sure.
your fine with leaving on the ground for the rear

is it true that you can use a neon strut bar and drill new holes to match up to the celica? heard something about it, but never found out if it was bs or not. kinda thinking that if its true, get a bar from procarparts and call it a day. if you couldn't tell, i'm not concerned about being cheap with this car as i am not really gonna invest much into it, but would like to do a few things to it to keep me busy till i get a 2nd faster car as a project.
that is true but i havent seen anyone do it in a while
