i am thinkin to use eagle rods, any one knows about them. are they good?
I haven't personally used them, but I know a couple guys that are using them and have no problems. The machine shop around me says that they're not the best rods and install is a little bit of a problem, not a big problem, but a little one.
tnx for info junior. what kind of cars do your friends have. and how much bhp they have?
2 friends w/ integra's using them. One dynoed at 174 and the other never dynoed b4 he sold it. But it was autoXC a LOT and held up well. This was fully built B18C1 too, with almost all JUN parts

NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife92 Civic hatch B16 - Sold10th anniv RX-7 - RIPThe Slow Celica - Sold...and then crushed crushed due to street racing.Quote from Seinfeild: George's Boss reading a magazine: "People magazine's most beautiful people. Oh and a Celica...nothin wrong with that!"
My friend's are running Type R's. One has 193 to the wheels, but he's got an oversized bore, increased stroke, fully balanced, stage 2 clutch, spoon fly wheel, port and polished head, increased compression. The other Type R's haven't been dynoed.
are thay happy with these rods. we are talkin about 500 bhp.i heard that these rods can be used up to 700 bhp. >confused.gif>
I would prefer Pauter Ibeam rods with JE pistons. That combo is def good for 300WHP and probably alot more.
i was taliking to reaceeng.com and they said eagle rods aren't worth the money and are not much stonger than stock in somecases, the best rods are crower pr-billet not econo, but they are expensive

oh and je pistons can produce the most power but wiesco are the best for daily drivers because the ceramic coat is very easy on the engine and are alos very cabable of handeling alot of hp
