What work needs to be done to get the MR2T tranny to work in my ST?

well the fact that it wont mount up doesnt really help. its either the 3s or the 5s that it mounts too, its late so i forgot that they are interchangeable.

MR2 turbo is a 3sgte engine; the tranny should be the same series as the 5sfe engine series- thats why GT trannys work for the 3sgte.
But you have an ST tranny.. so the 3sgte tranny won't bolt onto the 7afe.. I think. I'm still learning about trannys >

why would u even want to put it on a 7a or 5s? Its a turbo tranny made and geared for a turbo car, u'll lose acceleration.

Super, he's asking about the mounts. Yota is planning a 3s swap. Yota, I don't know the answer. You might want to PM Mina.

MIna didnt do it himself either. I heard that an ST185 mount will work tho.

it should mount the same way as the 5s tranny.... ill have to check the bgb and see if there is any differentiation in the tranny mounts for the turbo and non turbos
