Looks Hot. How about you send me the left over paint? >biggrin.gif>
what paint exactly did you use? where did you get it from?

I was thinking about doing this, I don't dig yellow on red, at all.
How do they look at night? does the yellow still show through?
I used the Testors candy apple red transparent spray paint. $2.99+ tax at Michael's. I took off the tail light, taped it off (except the outer amber corner) and I sprayed a light coat on. Let it dry and reinstalled. It is red on the outside but when the blinker is on, it is yellow at each blink.

I didn't clear coat them. I first wanted to see if I liked them all red. I wicked do.

def. looks nice. i would add more coats and use some clear coat.

former celica owner.
When I did mine I used about 5 or 6 coats, and it blinks red for me.
Is the bulb in the tails clear or amber?
nice work. need to change sig. pic tho.

The bulb is clear. It does blink kinda amber, kinda red. I will do another coat next week and probably clear coat it then too. I really don't care what color it blinks, I am just happy it is red on the outside >biggrin.gif>

BLINKYxMUNKEY, I have been looking forward to changing my sig all day >biggrin.gif>

Best tail-light mod I have seen Batman. Finished product looks completely stock. Well done.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
I like smoking more than redding. Mine came out pretty much just how I wanted them. Just a lil darker than stock, but still noticeable.

HOLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN! They look awesome & really stock, good job on them. I wouldn't do it to my car but the picture is tempting...
