ok, here's the official 'for sale' thread for my car :

1994 Toyota Celica ST Hatchback

209K Miles on the body

Engine and Transmission Rebuilt (w/ 'performance' torque converter) at 180K, I have the paperwork for the rebuild.

I've changed the oil for the past 3 years w/ Mobil 1 or other Synthetic oils.

New Axles about 5000 miles ago. New Starter about a year ago. The suspension was done at around 190K (see mod list)

-Strut Bar by DG Performance

I've cared for this car (much to the annoyance of my girlfriend) meticulously for the past 6 years, but since it IS 10 years old (and daily driven)...battle scars are to be expected.

The tint on the rear window is bubbling, the passenger's side rear quarter panel window also had to have the tint removed (major peelage). You really can't notice, unless you look for it. (new tint job would be around $200 -300, depending on where you went).

There are two SMALL rust spots around the 3rd brake light area. It hasn't spead at all since it started (about a year 1/2 ago).

There's a decent sized dent on the driver's side fender.

Windshield washer doesn't work. I'm pretty sure that the motor was disconnected when I got the engine stuff done. Easy fix.

Honestly, I would really like to sell the car to someone that will give it a little TLC body wise, as it's been a part of the family for the past 6 years. All it needs is MINOR body work and a paint job. And, it'll look great!

Selling price is $2200 FIRM

KBB for the car in "fair" condition is : $3100

I can not beleave you havnt sold this yet.. I cant even beleave your also letting it go for what $1800 ... I so wish I had money for this so i could give ti to my parents..
yeah...i just want the cash to pay off a years worth of insurance basically.

i'm REALLY trying to sell it to someone who'll take care of it...which is why i'm hesitant of ebay and autotrader...
any idea how much it would cost to ship it up to the twin cities area? thats about the only way i could get it. I dont really have time to come get it right now with school and all. but im def. interested.
i checked on shipping, it's like...$700

but, i didn't really look around. i'm sure it can be done for cheaper.

lmk if you're interested. i may let it go for cheaper if you're willing to ship it.
Ill talk to my parents tonight, and see what they say. the biggest thing is if i would be shipping the car, or coming to get it, but that would be hard with school and all. (cant skip too much of my senior year....lol)
haha...all i did was skip in my senior year...you can do it! j/k

how far are you from jersey exactly? if it's not too far, we could always do a halfway meet thing...
i cant believe it still not sold. He is like giving it away for that price.
hmm...half way....that would be what? about indiana? I'm an hour east of the twin cities. I'm working on it with the rents still....cuz they have to replace the down pipe on my car i have now, and both cv boots, and thats just the tip of the ice berg.... the main thing my parents are hesitant on is getting the car here. I really want a celica, and I'd hate to let this one slip away....
