I've got a few questions about doing a 4AGTE.....

Would their be any difference between getting a 4AGE and turboing it or doing the same with a 4AGZE? I also have an automatic so doing this would either require a manual swap (more expensive) or a better tranny (more than likely cheaper) that can handle the power..... are there any feasible auto trans that would be able to deal with power? Would there be any problems with the ECU?? Thanks for any help that can be given. >biggrin.gif>
you would have to be leary of using a 4a-ge i beleive some have too high of compression. the 4a-gze is nice because of the low compression, it's just built for boost. plus if you leave it supercharged the roots style blower would definately be nice (constant boost).

Yeah, the 4A-GZE is the better motor to apply boost to in stock form. It's plenty strong, and I've seen instances where it can take 18 or so PSI reliably in stock form.

New Toyota project coming soon...
Anybody know about an auto tranny for it? One that would be able to handle the boost?
