My dome light comes on whenever I hit a bump or stop short. Anyone esle has had this problem? please help.

Probably a short, check the switch on the inside of the door jamb.

If your dome light has been somehow mistreated the switch in the dome light could be loose. When you jerk the car two contacts meet and the light goes on.

check to make sure the bulb's not loose

just take them out...haha j/k...yah just check to see if they're on right...

The light shouldn't be going on if the bulb is loose.

But Sprynt has a point.
If:
a. your dome light switch is set to "Door" and you hit a bump, the door switch might be triggered (because it's loose, perhaps). That is, the dome light thinks the door is open because the sensor is loose.
b. your switch is set to "Off" then a. can't happen. There then is probably something wrong with the light switch. This shouldn't be because the assembly is pretty solid.

if it's loose yes it can becuase when he hit a bump it gets contact with the metal and then gravity pulls it back down.
