is it possible to die carbon fiber cloth then make something like a hood with it... it would be neat to have red dyed carbon fiber hood for my car

i think u can also use car paint and paint it with a thin coat so the CF shows thru.

when i got my CF hood the body guy asked if i wanted it painted to match but still have the CF show thru.

you can buy colored CF all over the internet... the cloth that you expoy yourself not the vynil crap

as for painting over CF it looks good if the shop does it right... otherwise it looks like crap

its not colored carbon fiber its colored kevlar which is about the same.

And for the painted type you'd use a transparent paint like the top pearl coat of a candy color.
