Hey man I did it to my calipers. Wasn't too bad to do. Just tape everything off real well. I did bright blue like the color of the Ford logo, it kinda matched my car. I have some pics, not great pics, but if you wanna see let me know. I don't know how much dark blue would should up but its your call.
do you think you can post the pics on this thread?

there is high temp caliper paint at wal-mart. Its extremely easy and looks good. I painted mine bright red.
a bright blue would look good. Or a bright yellow >smile.gif>
red capilers! go for red!
i'm thinking about gold now. >biggrin.gif> I don't think the blue would match my car.
So they sell this at wallmart eh?? >cwm13.gif>

they sell it at any automotive place. The caliper paint cost about 5-6 a can but you can get high temp paint for 2-3 that will work the same
sweet thanks guys

I just bought the caliper kit today at Advanced Autoparts.

I dont like it. I used it on my drums, maybe that was why...but it streaked really bad and the hairs from the brush always got stuck on the drum.. I just resorted to spraying them with 1200 degree engine paint. They look great. I had to redo them because after 2 years they started to fade from the first time I did it.
My calipers are still looking good though!

And yes...I went with RED!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I got mine from walmart also for like 6 bucks. my friend bought the whole caliper painting kit from walmart and I used his cleaner. It was real simple just spray on and wipe off. Then paint. I also did my drums and it seemed to do ok
I Painted mine yellow - check out the pics in my profile. Make sure you get paint designed for the job as brakes get hot and you don't want it to flake. Get a good gloss paint to give them a real shine.
look at my profile for silver calipers on silver car

looks great IMO
I painted mine in black. I like to keep it low profile.. >wink.gif>

I did however painted more than just the calipers... I painted the inside fender including the plastic covers. It looks EXTRA clean and when I am cleaning the car I just spray water and is all clean...

would taking it apart be easier? (If i have the time)
i just taped mine off, its probably the lazy way out but if you tape it up well it will look as good as if you take it apart. personally, i didn't want to take the time to do it after my friend spent 7 hours doing it to his BMW
Okay, im doing mine right now, taped off, the problem with mine is the paint isnt going on evenly, it keeps going into little groups of paint, so it looks all speckled, I used brake cleaner and then sanded it down, whats going on?
what kind of paint u using i just used high heat enamal(sp?) works prefect...i didnt sand it or anything
yeah im using high temp engine enamel.... >confused.gif> im applying it in light coats though, after a few coats now its gone steady-ish
okay finally got it done, the 'bubbling' couldnt really be seen after a few coats, its gone pretty even. I also painted the header cover (not sure what its called) user posted image
