Just to update you guys, I talked with my parents, and they said that the stuff inside the car falls under homeowner's insurance, and they won't file a claim, so I gotta see if work is really gonna charge me for that laptop or if they have insurance on it or what. If they're gonna charge me, maybe I'll quit my job and find another one elsewhere in town doing computer stuff until I can move once I finish this year of school. I'm sick of it anyway.

This just makes me hate thieves even worse... they break a window and steal over $3,000 in crap, resulting in you having to replace the window, fight with your parents, quit your job, and move out of your house. >>

Well, I really doubt that the company I work for will make me pay for it myself. I have REALLY good job security and I don't think they'd want to lose me over a couple thousand dollars. >>

i still say ur parents are 100% assholes, sorry...they sound kinda like mine...without feelings though.

did they come to this conclusion after stating the fact about them probably not going to charge you, or were they stubborn and in that state of mine from Time=0

Your parents are right though, it falls under homeowners insurance meaning that you should have a much lower co-pay to get the insurence money, I would give your insurance a call, and just get some basic info about it. Maybe you can get enough facks about it to convinse your parents.
