Topic #16904 12 posts Started by BigJ
Im converting my ST to all disc brakes. I bought cross drilled/slotted rotors for the GT......now i need the calipers all the way around. Ive looked around but cant really find any performance calipers for the GT. Do you guys know any?

They don't make performance calipers for the GT. You'll have to get OEM ones from somewhere.

New Toyota project coming soon...
i could swear that brembo makes a set for the gt calipers front and rear

So the GT rotors are bigger than the ST cause I also bought GT rotors. I heard that they might have an adaptor from the caliper to the knuckle.
Not sure, but use the 7th gen GT brakes if you're going throught he trouble converting.

hehe.....no i dont have 2k to spare......i barely have enough to spare to get the GT calipers LOL. I am about to attempt 3sgte swap and I gotta save as much money as i can for that. I got some 5th gen GT calipers coming off a parts car im getting....im gonna try those. Thanks for the help guys!
I just finished this swap. The GT brakes should fit right on but your supposed to get new backing plates the GTs are bigger than the ST however they do fit on barely without them. All I did was grab a set of calipers from the junkyard sand the rust off and spray with High temp paint they look clean. I also have a complete parts list with numbers you will need for the conversion. Once I get home I will post it for you. But i'll tell you first hand even without performance calipers you'll luv those brakes. The cross drilled matched with some ceramic pads will have your celi stopping at the drop of a dime trust me. Any questions feel free to holla at me.
so you put GT rotors on the front of your ST?
Yup! The only thing the front needed was new backing plates and calipers. And every thing bolted right on. I still plan on getting the g stop steel braided hoses but they are on back order.
Oh I forgot if you do not have at least 15 inch rims on yout car the GT brakes will not fit I know most STs come with 14 inch rims. If you have stock rims you will need a new bigger set to fit your wheel on.
