This is the most resent photos of the subwoofer box that I've been working on. I have most this weekend off so I'm trying to get it all done.

Its gana hold my 2 10" audiobahns.

What do you guys think? Should I make a how to?

fiberglass looks so ugly before its painted, its like dead snake skin

Yeah, looks wise its horribly dis colored and had to see the real shape, but once I finish it, it should be smooth and solid.

looks good...just make sure that your using enough fiberglass so it nice and strong...

another thing....its better when you make your rings double...like one little bit smaller then the other..so that when the sub sets in its flush not just sitting on there...

looks good man, from my own experience u might want to put a couple of more layers of glass on your box it seems to light. u wanna get at least 7 layers on it if its goin to be housing 10's.

u might wanna try fiberglassing so to make 2 different sections for the subwoofers, i read that if one of your subwoofers for some reasen turns off, it will ruin the other one becuase of pressure differences or soemthign..

Its only real thin on the ends, the center from the red line in is where the thinkness is, but yeah it will be maid to 7 layers, its 4 right now.

The subs are gana be cone it, meaning the magnets are gana stick out.

just curious why ya made it only on the once side, Like why didnt ya try an make in like in the center or somting?

I wanted it out of the way so I can still use my trunk, and if you notice I have my backup door poper buttons on the other side so it had to be the driver side. I also want to use my spare tire so putting it as far in the side as posible was my only choice. Plus I guess I like the "coming out of the side look" I'm not really trying to make it look all "Show" just nice and clean.

I dont plan on separating the space because I'm gana have one amp powering both so if it dies they both go, plus I dont think that it would hurt the sub since the cone is facing in and powding on the cone like that would not cause damage that i know of. but I'll keep it in mind.

i think it could even if they are invereted. just make sure ur speaker wires are nice and tight

Yes, with two subs in the same chamber, if one dies, the other one will most likely over-excurt itself at high volumes due to having the twice the air space, damaging the remaining sub.

If I split the volume it would be very small, The volume that I maid is just over the max for one sub, I dont think that it would work well enough with half the volume. but I will do some math and make a final choice. Plus I can always add a devider in later.

if the volume of the box is only enough for one sub why are u putting to in. if a sub needs 1 cubic foot, and u have two subs .. u need two cubic feet.

Its just over the max volume for one sub. and just over the min of both.

Most sub specs list a MAX and MIN amount of volume, and its up to the owner to deside what they wont, I chose to make it as small as what would work to save space.

If the MAX was 1 cubic foot then you would need 2 to max it out.
If the MIN was .45 then, .9 cub feet would be the absolute min for the sub to work porperly
