My sunroof was working fine until all of a sudden, when i tried to open the sunroof, the sunroof opened like about an inch and then started making a vibrating/grinding noise. then when i tried to tilt the window, it did the same thing...open a little bit then make that vibrating noise.

Has anyone had this problem with their sunroof? IF so, can you help me fix this problem? I would like to try and fix it on my own instead of having some shop take my arm and my leg for it.

It seems that something is broken. in general, sunroofs are always prone to damage a a hassle to fix. Try to identify where the damage it. Dont force operation of the sunroof because you risk doing more damage.
