winters coming in nj! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #17285 11 posts Started by BBoYRuGGeD
Hey guys, winters coming here in NJ... =( And if youre from NJ you know it gets tough. I just installed my bodykit not more than two months ago and I wunna know from people who actually drove their cars (w/ bodykits) how bad it can get. Im still running on stock suspension (im screwed if I go lower). I heard from a friend that salt eats away at fiberglass to make it thinner so that it'll snap like a twig. Is this true? I wouldn't want my investment snapping like a twig ya know what I mean? =) I still got my stock bumper stored just in case I need to slap that baby on.. But I'd prefer not to since.. well.. Im lazy! Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks guys.

keep her garaged on bad days and take it real easy on decent ones...always go slow because there's people that had churnks of snow on their car, and it falls onto the road...that can dmg the front if ur going too fast.

if you park in a drive way you should be fine, i know its a pain in the ass parking on the street. In jersey you have to slide ur car into a spot in the winters.

Where in jersey you from ?

I will return one day.
yeah its gonna get cold >smile.gif> down in the 60s down here >wink.gif>
Thnx for the info guys. I appreciate it. Yah I have to park at the streets, scary chit! =) specially when the plowing truck runs along. doesnt really get that bad in my area tho but its still worse than others. im from northern jersey over at union area def, why r u from around here?

here in canada ..winters can kill you >biggrin.gif> JK

it's a big reason why I dont put a kit on my car
Yeah I'm in Canada also... this will be my first winter with the car and I'm kitless at the moment, but I imagine my Celi would make quite the snowplow with a low enough front lip.
So is it true that salt kills the fiberglass????
