So I was looking at a post and came upon this:

Everyone was having a cow about how retarded it was to do a pseudo-Benz body kit. Agreed. But there was little mention of the rear-mounted engine. That had me floored. And I couldn't find any discussion about a mid engine Celica anywhere here.

Assuming this Polish company actually did it, and it's not a lame Photoshop job, I am impressed.

What confuses me is that it looks like a straight four in there. If you're going to drop the money to convert the rear compartment to have an engine (drivetrain, suspension...), you might as well go huge.

I personally think there'd be nothing cooler than a AWD mid-engine V10 Celica. I didn't think it could be done (without tons of cash) until I saw this Easer car. Comments?

...except maybe a wheelbarrow full of free tacos, that'd be cooler.
Heheh... you've any idea how much that can cost? Anything is do-able... but isn't really practical. If you want a AWD MR with big displacment... go by a Lambo... ;] That just might be more cost effective than building one.

Right, which is why I balked at someone saying the cars went for 25 G's (which a significant portion would have to go to the 5 tons of fiberglass). If mounting a rear engine is so not-worthwhile, why would Easer do it?

To mod the cargo area to be able to handle an engine, reroute all the fuel and exhaust systems, and create a completely new drivetrain... I just can't imagine it being cost effective. So how/why did Easer do it?

i can get a lambo for 40k?!?!?!

amazing i say,
nevermind, it SUX! who wants a lambo anyways!
That thing looks like a group B celica!

Are you all sure its AWD or did you guess? It would be easy for them to set up a RWD config but to do the AWD drivetrain would take some work I'd think.

If I had a choice I'd prefer RWD imagine normal celi handling with much much better turn in >smile.gif>
Nah, I was saying AWD would be cool (brilliant handling). I think the Easer is RWD.

Oh yeah, and Italian cars only suck in Paul Walker movies.
