If I got a nitrous system for my 7afe, and later swaped in a 3sgte, could I easily swap the nitrous as well? Is it practical to have a turbo car with no2?

Also, is it legal to use no2 on the street?

Different states have different laws on "Fuel Enrichment systems". Here you can have a Nitrous System but not the bottle hooked up, and there and stipulations to that, If you have just came from or are going to the track (same goes for slicks).

Nitrous Is gonna add that extra boost while your in vaccum but when you hit boost just gonna spool it up that much quicker, You might serveraly overwork your wastegate.

An Option perhaps is the Boost Activated switches that "NOS" the company sells. I think they come in like 7psi and 15psi switches, so when you reach that boost level the nitrous will turn off. So if your running stock psi on 3sgte, you will still have 4 more psi which the turbo would build its self. Dont know if it really works or anything but it would be worth a shot.

I plan on running a direct port System just for that extra kick. I plan to hook it up via woot switch but not hold it on very long, and if any just in third and forth.

N2O isn't dangerous. You can use it on a stock motor easily as long as you make sure you are getting enough fuel... Its the dumb asses that give nitrous oxide a bad name... BOOM!! >>

Forced Induction cars LOVE nitrous... N20 greatly reduces intake charge temps... and as we all know turbo's like to heat things up... most of the power comes from the extremely cold oxygen that the nitrous provieds the motor... It is a great addition to spool up the turbo in the lower rpms where turbo lag can be a problem... secondary benefit of N2O is that nitrogen is flamable. >> Just keep the fuel coming and everything will be peachy.

Yes. And you can use it on a 3s, just only a lil bit, and id recommand only when not in boost. Nitrous isnt street legal, but who's gonna know?

nitrous doesn't increase psi.. it increases cylinder pressure by adding more oxygen... therefore making it safe to add more fuel.. but you are right when you say an engine can only take so much cylinder pressure before it lets go.

nitrous is legal if you get a CARB certified kit

however, it is at the cops discretion as to if you were showing off or racing.

Nitrous does NOT increase psi... the main benefit of nitrous is that the oxygen in it is SUPER cold... cold oxygen contains ALOT more oxygen atoms in the SAME SPACE that ambient air would have. The pressure isnt getting increased... its just that the air that is there is getting packed with alot more oxygen due to the temperature.. NOT the compression. Which only increases cylinder pressure... not psi.

no it doesn't cylinder pressure and psi are two completely different things... psi is one of the many factors in cylinder pressure.

I'm not trying to be cocky and act like i know everything though... the only time I get somewhat pressing with what I say is when I see something that I KNOW is wrong. I'm not calling anyone stupid or putting anyone down... I'm just making sure that the info that this kid gets is legit and not some stuff that gets made up. Nitrious doesn't increase intake pressure or charge... it has something to do with the combustion process of nitrious that is just more efficient at making power than your typical oxygen. it doesn't have anything to do with temperature either. A warm nitrious bottle is more efficient than a cold one.

Nitrious + Boost without a BUILT and TUNED motor = BLOWN ENGINE... nuff said.

It has everything to do with temperature Kwanaza... the only reason NO2 is used is because of its extremely cold temperatures... a warm bottle is more efficient because the compressed NO2 moves more freely through the lines at a warm temp... when it hits the nozzles it instantly turns cold. You said nitrous is more efficient than oxygen in making power... when all nitrous is, is really cold oxygen and a little bit of nitrogen (which is also highly flamable [the second power adder of NO2]) COLD is the only thing that matter with nitrous.

ok soo now that we have noz down...how about when people use propane....is this better or not...i heard it was used on desial fuel like noz is used for regular fuel.....but i seen it in different cars too tho...

and here in SD noz it totally not legal....if cops bust you with it the impound your car and they strip your car of it...and your paying for all ove it....thats the last time i heard anyways

Propane injection does for diesels what N20 does for gasoline engines.

I personally have not seen many gasoline setups with propane but I havent felt the need to look for them.
