So she was making a griding noise, thought it might be the brake wear indicator or wheel bearing. Wasn't either.

I stumbled upon this plastic ring near the CV joint (outside the boot) that was loose. It looked like it was originally attached to either the rotating or stationary part of the axle. Not sure what I should do with it.

I wish I could be more descriptive, but I've heard other cars making a similar sound so maybe one of y'all knows what I'm talking about.
