Im sure this question has been asked b4 but im lazy and didnt feel like searching...but is there a reason the rubber rings are around the headlights? cause mine keep popping out and i put them back in but they just keep coming off...can i just take them off or do they actually serve a purpose? also the rubber strip that goes across the hood can that be taken off? cause mine is starting to curl up on the ends and it looks really stupid
Rubber Rings - 6G Celicas Forums
Im just guessing that it might be there to keep water from seeping into the headlights? I remember when i put in my Halogen bulbs i noticed that one side was sticking out so i popped it back in >

its just weather stripping... i think around the headlights it wouldnt be a big deal, except the headlight housing MAY rub against the bumper and it may have a gap between the lights and the bumper, the part around the hood id leave there personally but i dont see it causing any big problems taking it off

I got pissed off with the 2 bigger rubber rings, and just ripped them out and threw them away, I left the 2 smaller ones in though since they were still really stuck. Been like that for about 5-6 months, I don't see any problems yet.
They serve no purpose, they just there for looks.
One of mine flew off while doin 80, so i said fuk it and ripped the other one off. Been that way for over a year and no problems.

well technically they do serve a purpose as weather stripping, but its a rather stupid purpose...

I have heard you can put some super glue on them and it'll fix the problem.
use adhesive spray. It works all the time!
