in the forums the view column was very sweet....

When searching for "vis rare" it says one of my search words is too short (three letters or less).I think it sould be two letters or less and only if there isn't another word included in the query. The "last post by" column seems too big. I liked it better further to the right. Also, the Fast Reply seems to always show up even though it's turned of in the control panel. I've deleted the cookies and restarted my browser and all that good stuff but it still shows up. Another thing is the new folder icons are going to take some getting used to I guess, I think the other ones looked better since they showed me what I was subscribed too. other than those little things I think it's going to be great.

The model of the car will be shown soon...I've just got to figure out how to do it, because it involves modifying the code in the Invision Power Board software.

Did we have the number of views on the forums before? I thought we didn't, but I'm probably wrong. >>

Unfortunately, because of the way the database indexes are created, three letter words don't work in the search, even if I lower the minimum word length to three. Rebuilding the indexes may be possible, but it would slow down the site I'd think. I'll look into it though.

The fast reply is turned on by default through a custom modification that I added to the forum's code. I figured people would like it that way, since it has to be loaded anyway. >>

And how did the old forum setup show you which threads you were subscribed to? I never messed with the subscription stuff myself.

I really dislike the fast reply. Just adds more junk to the page that I don't need. We have the option to turn it on in our control panel if we want it anyway.

The way the old site showed subscriptions was with a black dot in the middle of the envelope icon.

The three letter limitation is really annoying... things like egr, abs, vis, etc aren't searchable. I wouldn't think that it would slow the site down that much. Come on, look how many people don't even know how to use the search function. >>

Also the fat grey line at the end of each post probably shouldn't be so big.

The "goto last unread" icon would look better at the end of the topic title so that the front of the title isn't so cluttered
