I don't know what pads I'm using(Haven't had to change pads since I bought the car), but I may change them soon and would be interested in hearing what everyone is using.

New Toyota project coming soon...
yeh i want to know how those AXXIS semi-metallic pads work that are on ebay.
Im using a set of ceramic pads not sure of the brand name but i know ceramics even though they are like 40 dollars for a set no dust no noice and they are said to cut your distance roughly in half. I love my set up I ll find out the brand of the pads i am using. But be prepared to drop like 80 dollars for your set up all the way around.
I went with the Raybestos performance (slotted, drilled) rotors and (composite) pads because I could get them for cheap. Yes I did notice a non-placebo increase in stopping power. Yes it exposed how terrible my tires are.
The most notable thing, however, was that braking is much less mushy after having driven for more than 5 minutes. That is, the rotors/pads are less hot. Can't compare it to other performance parts though, this is my first go-around.
i heard green stuff brake pads work great.

hows it taste motha f*cka

I've heard the same thing...on my next car that I go all out on, I'm going to try out Green Stuff pads. >smile.gif>

I was looking more at the Red Stuff. more durable for the braking i do.
Going 90 down a 30mph road, see the front of a cop on the other road. SCREEEECH. 90 to 30 BAAAAAD on stock brakes. not as bad on green stuff. Red stuffed is designed for it.

lol thats really hard on the celi... :-/... but i think my next set up is gonna be green stuff

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
Hawk preformance, very nice, alot of dust, if you love your rims its a no no
maybe we should start a groub buy on the green stuff ..

I'm using PBR ceramic. The stopping is great, but they dust up too much. Check out Hawk pads. Then make many levels of pads. Some designed to work when heated up. Some dustless. Some for drag. Check out the website and which suits your needs.
I have EBC green stuff pads with irotors rotors,, stop on a dime. Not much brake dust, and squeeks once n awhile, not loud though.
