Ok first thing first.. this is just an idea .. so i don't need to hear why it won't work.. keep that to your self..

Ok i was just home sitting and thinkink.. wouldn't it be hot of this site had a touring celi... were that would go from company to company getting parts made for it.. in order for new parts to be made for it... Like when one company finishes up with it and making a part to it.. it gets sent to another one for more parts...

just something i was thinking about. and it would also lear to everything being made for our cars...

i get the first part but i dont get the last part
where would the funds come from?
1 thing mac... When you're done writing a post, re-read it before you hit the add reply button to make sure theres no spelling errors. >smile.gif> Just a small tip. >wink.gif>
haha, give the guy a break, he only has one eye =X
do i hear more PIRATES?

That would be awesome, but the fundin issues, as well as...if that was done, ST/GT, or cheapness in able to afford = would not make cross-country. >smile.gif>
it would be a GT.... The money would come frome the companies.. that want do develop parts for it... and the owner of the car would be 6gc.net.... and when they are is done and no more parts made for it... Ebay it... and who will get the money... A charity that the mods pic ..

First off, why it have to be a gt? second, where would the car come from? would you have to find someone to donate, and you really think companys would put money and time into a celica, for free? maybe if you convince them its going to be a moving add, and they just can post there tags/lables.

the reason why we dont have that many parts for our cars is because we dont buy crazy amounts like honda guys do. its just basic supply and demand. even if we had an official project car, i dont think that would change anything.

It might work more like this...

Somebody here volunteers their personal Celi to be the "official 6GC project", part time, of course.

Then we vote on what part we most want to see. Lets say for instance, a header. Then we find a way to put together a group buy on the part that doesn't yet exist. And then bid that group buy out to whoever wants to step up to the plate.

We could talk over the logistics with the would be producer, then make price adjustments to the group buy, and then once they take the contract, they can use the "official 6GC project" car to develop on.

Hows that sound?
Neat idea. But wouldn't work. Lagos is right, R&D costs a lot of money. And 6gc's aren't big enough to pull a big profit.

digndoug is so negative >tongue.gif>... lol

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.

YARRRRRRRRRRR

i am awesome
u could start the celica buy sending money to the person who is gonna be brinign it to shows and representing it. it every member gives a few bucks it could be one crazy celica jsut for shows. and maybe sponsered eventually. and then the companies would pay for the rest.
