Hey Guys,

This is my first post ever. I just bought a 96 red 25th year edition celica for around 4,300 bucks. 96k miles. Runs great. Can't wait to start working on this baby. I am thinking of buying a cai for my first mod. What do you guys think? I had a cai in my previous car and I loved the sound and the extra punch it gave. Any other simple to do mods I should consider in my newly acquired celi?

i personally think that any engine upgrades to an st are a waste of money. if i were you, i would spend money on stuff like new wheels, a nice sound system, or an engine swap.

exhaust is good. also an ASP underdrive pulley. you will get some nice gains with that. just gives it a little more zip.

Hey wassup..those are a good start, being an intake..though exhaust too depends, though that could run ya a little more..depends what ya go for..custom or greddy or whatever...DONT BUY LITEGLOW UNDERBODY!!! for 170 bucks you could do alot better..sorry for the tangent just bad luck with them...grrr...o well..nice to have ya here.... >biggrin.gif>
CAI is a good way to start. I have a 97st with just a K&N filter. I have a piece of PVC pipe that connects it to the rubber tubing with a hole drilled into it for the O2 sensor. It still gave me a little gain though. I spend only about $40 on the filter. Dr CAI in the parts database is what I'm getting soon to replace my setup.
