exactly - I thought that as well. Normally with any static IP (cable, dsl, college net for you lamers >

Soooooo, for a hacker to block your computer from that IP address he'd have to either A. be directly connected to your router, or B. be directly connected to the router that yours is talking too I.E. Charter Communications, Verizon, etc - unlikely. Basically, what your saying is that he is renewing his IP numerous times, and thus when yours is picked, disconnects you from your net. Well as stated above, associate your IP with a Mac address (normally underneath your router on a sticker) or if thats been done... then check to make sure you've got a secure network if wireless. If thats been done, then contact your service provider because someone very good is hacking there networks and renewing IP via change of MAC - again... unlikely.
