Ya happy holidays to me! >> Ill be missing 2 days worth of hours from my pay check on December 15th...sons of bitches! I called in sick on Wednesday & today when I came back to work my supervisor sent me this:

"I just wanted you to be aware that you will not be eligible for the Thanksgiving paid Holiday hours.

The Employee Handbook clearly states:

Page 4 Section 9 Company Paid Holidays

Employees must work the day before and the day after a holiday to receive holiday pay. Accrued flex time may be used in lieu of working those days, but the time off must be approved in advance by your supervisor."

She is such a bad supervisor, everyone hates her. Any of my old supervisors would have given me my holiday hours for Thursday anyway.... >> Im gonan be extra broke for Christmas now...yippie!

well for me to take a day off when the office is closed i have to take it out of my PTO! which makes no sense to me! cuz if the office was open i would be here

thats some F'ed up stuff right there...an good boss would give you that day... when i was out for a week from work i thought i wasn't going to get paid..but my supervisor and account maneger.. hooked me upand gave me thatweek as vacation..


i say mess something up that makes you supervisor look bad...cause they are always the first ones to get blamed for stuff going wrong..

or find another job and slap the bitch.. lol

Not mine >> we get paid for 8 hours at holiday pay whether we work or not. Then you get Holiday pay for what you work ON TOP of those 8 hours.

I dont get holiday pay, just overtime, but i dont care I make enough already. I love my job to much to complain about anything.

oh yeah, back on topic: That is a cheap trick to keep from paying you holiday, it soulds like something fred meyer would do, any little thing to rip off the empliyees to save a penny.

Ya I have been at this job too too too too long! Going on 5 years

For the last couple of years the company I work for has slowly been going down hill.

It started when 2 years ago they decided to move our warehouse over to Ohio for a more central shipping location. Well that Christmas we all get an email from the owner of the company saying how no one would be getting a raise or bonus that year because they were $500k OVER BUDGET than what they thought it would cost to move the warehouse...

So another year goes by...still no raises....& then this past June they fired 6 of the top people in the company (all were making about $100k a year) So I know for sure there wont be any raises this year either & i could care less because I hate it there & I want out. The owner is a cheap cheap bastard ...

anyway, I want to find a new job but I dont want any kind of custoemr service operator job again. Thats why im tryin to get this gauge thing going...it would be so cool to quit my day job & just do car stuff

I hate to break it to ya, but although the guages are cool, its not something that is gana support you. I kinda liked the costumer servace side of my job at F.M, but the work was just way to....... well you know.

haha, your not breakin anything to me, its just your opinion. No harm in that! I have had great response from my gauges actually. If I dont do it someone else will so....why not try! I'd rather try something I like doing rather than stay somewhere that makes me want to kill myself *customer service BLA* >>

All I gotta do is sell like 7 gauges a week & Im good to go haha

yea its like that for disney also. have to work shift before and after to get time and a half. so i got paid big time cuz i also work for verizon, and they gave me paid holiday off for thanksgiving, so i worked it at disney and got time and a half, w00t.
