so i go out to my car this morning to go to work, and the first thing i see is this



yup, it finally happened. alls they took was a old broken sony CD player and my radar detector (which was worth like $50)





subs and amp still in trunk... it could have been alot worse... if they had explored the car, they would have found a spare key in the glovebox, and could have taken the whole thing....

so i've found a few places close to me that have a window for about $45, but it just stinks they're all closed on sundays... so i have to wait till tomorrow to get it fixed.... anyone can add to the "jon needs a new stereo fund" @ jsimonzi@hotmail.com if you want >> >>


edit: oh and they snapped the front trim piece which also pissed me off...

come to my house ill get the bats >> been there before buy an alarm. check under ur drivers seat the harness might already be there, mine was?
ps. i got a wicked nice alpine deck withbn o face plate. its a 500 alpine deck. but the face plate cost 200 alone. if u buy the face plate i will GIVE u the alpine deck.

i had the stock alarm, but when i crashed my car at the beggining of the year, something happened to it and it never worked right so i just took it out...

the cd player and radar detector i could care less about, ehh ill just have to buy new ones big deal... it just sucks cuz now i have to miss an 8 hour workday (sundays are time and a half), i have to install a new window, and i'll have to get a new trim piece cuz they snapped it, and the parts to put in a new stereo when i get it...

Man that makes me wanna fix my alarm. The funny thing is. I have always had around $2k worth the stero in all my cars. Even my first dodge daytona witch couldnt even lock, and now my car witch takes a second to pop the lock. hummm.. I think i just jnyxed myself.. kknock on wood.


But yeah, they could have atleast poped the lock an saved you from buying a new window.

does anybody know if our cars have some kind of anti theft thing where if you break a window it does something to the lock so the door wont open? cuz my door wont open... it'll unlock, but it wont move when i pull the handle... i dont know if theres glass jammed in it or if its some toyota anti theft feature....

My guess is they jamed somthing in the door, or theres somehow glass stuck in.. cause sence you dont have an alrm i dont think it would make sence..

People who steal stuff and don't know how to take off interior peices suck the most. At least they didn't jack your subs and amp or your change. My friend had his car broken into and all they did was steal his faceplate and his change. Good luck and i hope you can get that window soon.

sorry to hear, I know how it feels. Glad to hear the other components in the trunk were left. Hope your insurance will cover it all! Mine didnt for the radar detector.

Damn that sucks! >> That is why i don't want a system in the celi withough getting an alarm. I've never had anything like that happen to me, but the celi got tagged on and got 1 rim spray painted by some people before. >>

well its sucks but looks like they did minimal damage. was it out side ur house looks like its in the open. Didnt u have an alarm. Thats y im for tints but there illegal over here now.

well make the best out of it.

Since the insurance companies are crooks themselves (i hate insurance companies - 350/month for a perfect record - SCREW THEM), go ahead and claim that they took your subs and amp too. Just take them out of the car for now. This way, you'll get some extra cash for some goodies, like a Autopage or Viper. >>

first of all dont leave a spare key in your car.... thats asinine!

other then that, sorry to here about the break in.... my old man's car got busted into on sunday.... hes got an alarm too.... they broke the rear side window and hopped in through it to avoid setting off the alarm.... but they didnt take anything.... the went through his glove box and left cd's and everything. didnt even touch his tumbler.... guess they knew that would set off the alarm

My friends zx2 just got busted into, they jacked his whole center console (climent control and all) and busted both driver side windows, Its so sad people go to those limits for a few hundred bucks.

Sorry to hear about that I hope your insurence helps you out.
