like i know there the most riced out car, but come on...they have serious potential...i know of to civics firs thand that run low 13's in a 1/4...13's for a civic is damn good...I just wanted to know if there are any lagit (sp?) reasons for people bashing them

probably cause theres so damn many of them.....gets annoying! plus the drivers are punks

people have a tendency to hate what they don't understand. they are well engineered cars, no hatred here

i saw a post awhile back with phtochopping of the punk kid in a civic and everyone was putting their own sayings on it i tried finding it but couldn't find it. that was some funny stuff. hondas are great cars what makes them rice is their owners making homeade stuff like painting the bottom of your bumper to make it look cool and they use spray paint i mean come on that is ghetto. then i saw someone at my school that must have welded their own wing in welding class and strapped it to their car and didn'y even paint it or anything; it turned to rust is was nasty lookin, and it was on a civic coupe.

Rice = normal honda owner. I have nothing against a welmade- or well tuned honda. It's their owners that crack me up- it's their owners thinking their 95 whp with intake is the shiznat and they'll talk **** on anyone attitude.

I wanted a Honda before a Toyota, but the people that own them not to mention the sheer numbers of Hondas out there, you can't really be an individual in one not to mention the mentality of some of the owners, ex: My friend owns a 96 Civic Coupe in Red, salvage title, all banged up (has some aftermarket taillights which are slightly broken, aftermarket headlights which the driver side is loose, non closing trunk, scuffed rims, I can keep going) & he gets extremely upset if anyone else wants to drive his car for fear of "damaging the car", it should be in a yard. The guy then bought this huge ass sticker for the hood with a picture of a nicer civic & it said "Honda Civic Coupe Type -R" major points there! it didn't even fit the whole hood so you see the sticker & towards the grill is nothing but white then a touch of red right above the grill & also has aftermarket stickers of brands he has no parts to on the side fenders in white with black lettering & such on a “red” car, also the car happens to have a CAI which means he wants to be speed racer going everywhere even though that’s all he has towards performance & gets torn all the time. Honda is not just a car, it’s a disease. That’s just my opinion.

People just misunderstand things... They describe "ricer" and "intakes and fart cans" and stuff, but they don't stop for a second to think. If the car puts those things on itself... then that's cool. Go ahead and hate Honda. It's never the car's fault (Civics) nor is it the manufactures (Honda)... it's the owners that are "ricers". There are other excuses such as "no torque" or "ugly cars" or other things... but if we really get technical... those beliefs are untrue. I love Hondas and wouldn't hesitate to pick up a nice little Honda if I was given a good deal.

im almost certain my next car is going to be a RSX or a used TSX... I used to dislike hondas before because i diddent like thier interiors (aka preludes and integras) but now they are nice imo... not to mention 105 HP per liter is nothing to be sneezed at in the Type S...

Mmmm... the TSX... a thing of beauty.

The new RSX-S is real hot - the new heads make it look so much better, and extra 10hp. I dont hate hondas, its more the people who did them wrong early on and now its like, "oh another honda, woop-dee-do".

I would definately take an RSX-S.

i don't really like the look of most hondas, but their engines (especially in head design) are frekin unbelieveable. I love teh H22.

i think a lot of people jump on the bandwagon of hating Hondas. They see that a lot of people just hate Hondas, so they gotta join the group and hate them too. Thats just the way i see it.

Honda makes very well engineered cars. Like everyone else has said, its the owners that makes them ricers. The stupid crap that people will do to their cars is unbelievable. Some Honda owners just go to Autozone and buy the ****ty underglow kits and exhaust tips and think that their car is all bad ass. If I found a H22 swapped Civic or a Turbo 5th gen prelude I would gladly buy it and drive it but if they are just stupid ass Hondas, like the majority of them are, I will hate them untill the day I die. Hondas are trendy and like I said the majority of the drivers are stupid butt-holes that don't know how to manage, take care of, or tune their cars. Its unbelievable. </rant>

I gotta say i use to hate toyota and was a meat head, only because I didnt understand imports and new nothing about their engines. I know a whole lot more about cars in general, now, and can say that all cars have their advantages and disadvantages

hmm i wouldnt mind to get some little honda civic to put a b16 in there... just for the hell of it for some cheapie hp engine. as long as i kept my celi tho. i wouldnt want to give it away :-/

i dont hate - but its a love/hate relationship. Honda vs Toyota. Its just like Chevy/Ford, Pepsi/Coke, Red/Blue. Its just the opposite.

Integra is one of my favorite cars. The next car i wanna get is a civic hatch. :-D I love all cars except American cars although I do still respect them. 0.02

i hate how honda's are way over prices.. a 96 civic would be more expencive then a celica with the same year lower miles.

i hate how honda's are targeted for theft. If you have any aftermarkets on your car will have its window smashed in at least once.

I hate how the owners think there d16 is powerfull and bs how they "will" swap in a b18c5 engine.


I hate how honda owners will not spend 200 bucks and get themselfs springs.. they have to go ahead and cut the stock ones. the idea more camber the better.

I hate how well the design of hondas are.. 180 hp stock.. and with 6 psi of boost you can get 200+ with a redline of 8200. A 7afe cant even break the 200 hp limit with out serious mods and it is still restricted to the low rpm redline.

i guess my hate comes from how tune-able honda's are.. and any baboon can get more horse power then a guy that actuallly spends time researching. I hate the aftermarket for honda's.. everything is so cheap..

i just found out why i hate honda's.. its because some owners of there cars are not true enthusist.. they wash there cars with dish soap and getto wire car alarms with scotch tape.
