My car = 0-60 in ~9secIt's slow, I know
from what ive learn from working at a theme park its a west coast and maybe a east coast thing to say soda and a central/mid west thing to say pop

Also depending on where you live ppl either like ice or dont like ice in their soda/pop

(at least from what ive seen with US ppl)

Just a drink...or soda.......

Sold my Celica....
soda, duhhh

oh and alot of times people dont ask for ice in their drink because at a theme park, where u usually dont get free refills and its hella expensive, they fill up the cup mostly with ice, then like 4 ounces of soda. >wink.gif> ask them next time if they would like a seperate cup of ice and they'll take it.
definately soda

ice always takes up too much room. u can have more soda in a cup without ice. unless its free refills, it doesnt matter

soda, (east coast way i think) I dont like "pop" its a sound not a drink, and it does not even make sense soda does not make a pop sound, kind of a fizz, but no pop.
yah that what i say if there ice then u dont get as much, if u go to a place that gives free refils and buy a large pop just keep the cup forever and you get free drinks forever. wendy's replaces your cup so it doesnt get old

the bubbles pop when they come to the surface

My car = 0-60 in ~9secIt's slow, I know

like yeah thats so true, recneps. when i was in mississippi and i was like what kinds of pop do u have? um sir, what is POPPPP? oh sorry what kind of coke do u have? lol... crazy southerners.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
if i'm at a place like a sub shop, or a place w/ a choice...i'll either ask for a fountain drink, or a drink from the cooler to differentiate between prices...as the type doesn't matter...however, if i'm at a drive through, or ask someone for something..i call it by whatever it is...>smile.gif>.

lol very true haha o yeah
Soda - Coke is a type of cola. Pepsi or Coke.

you forgot soft drink, that would be on the selection. And a soda is a type of drink that has ice cream in it similiar to a float
no soda is just a sprite, or a pepsi or a mt. dew. A float has ice-cream, theres no other name.

From my understanding... East Coast and West Coast people call it Soda... while a lot of the midwest call it Pop...

"It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"1995 AT200 Celica ST:stocked out daily driver...1984 AE86 Corolla GT-SR5:silvertop 20V 4AGE project car jacked up with goodies...1991 SW2x MR2 n/a:bare bones hardtop model soon to be...
If I want sprite.....I call it sprite....
If I want mtn dew.....I call it mtn dew
etc
etc
etc

lol

But if I had to call it "pop" or "soda" I would go w/ soda, I'm from California & everyone there (northern cali) calls it soda. Then when I moved up to Washington state.... I noticed everyone here calls it "pop". My sister & I use to make fun of it cause "pop" just sounded so funny hehe...im a little more use to it now but still wouldnt use it
I'm from northern West Virginia, which I thought was considered east coast. I know I'm not on the coastline, but I close to it, and I call it pop. Everyone I know calls it pop. You sound like an old person from one of those 50s-60s movies when you ask for a "Soda." At least that's the way it is around here.

Live Free, Be Happy
Exact opposite, i've never heard or seen a movie in the 50's/60's that they call it soda, its always pop or soda-pop. Around here, its soda. Pop sounds so old-fashioned.

it's soda i tell you. My friend and i have had long arguments about this. but we always agree that location has very little to do with it since we live only a few hours from each other and i call it soda and he calls it pop then corrects himself and says " soda." then i smile and say good job.

A true soda is that. Thats where the real word came from, ppl just started using it to refer to soft drinks later. A soda is milk, carbonated water, flavoring, and a scoop of ice cream. I worked at a soda shop for over four years.

And soft drink came about 'cause its soft compared to hard liq.

similiar to a float not a float >wink.gif>
But soda is just soda, theres nothing in it, straight outta the can or bottle. Regardless of what it USED to be, soda is just plain old Coke or Pepsi now.

Thats a regional comment, nobody calles it soda down here. Its either soft drnk or in new orleans a cold drink.
wait in NO its a "cold drink" ? That could be anything from grape juice to a beer...so thats Imo stupid.
