I was woundering what are top speed is in our car, because the other day i was doing around 125 and i still had a little bit more to go in 5th gear. I have a 94 gt by the way if anybody is woundering.

Well, my car's governor kicks in at 115.
Since I have the Cinderella lisence, i don't push it too much..i've been up to 90 once and haven't gone faster. Oh well..i can't drive past midnight until October 1st..and i don't want to make it any farther away than it already is..im not stupid >

Is the governor just like in Gran Turismo? Your rpms just go up and down a little bit and the car doesnt go any faster?
most i've taken it was 123. didnt wanna push it further. prolly wouldnt go much faster, anyways

Govenor will cut the fuel to the engine once its reached a certain speed. I've gone 120 with my stock 94 GT - according to Toyota, top speed is 125. I'm goin JDM - no govenor - and top speed isnt 125 >

I went 135 in my vette, then was afraid and slowed.

I've gone about 60 in my Celi convertible......about 105 in my Avalon.......and who knows how fast i've gone in the Supra (obviously way too fast LOL)

Ive hit a buck 10. Was going out to some street races in the boonies and was like the 100th car in the pack so i sped up and became the 4th car and had people following me and i was like AHHH CRAP I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IM GOING so i had to brake. Luckily I got pulled over on my way home from the street races doing 85 in a 70 and not when i was doing a buck 10. Damn cop said "there was no one doing over 80 when they passed me"

115 mph, speed limiter kicked in and it felt like my car **** a brick but then i maintained 110 for the majority of the time, and the car was simply cruising, didnt have to work hard to maintain the speed
it was very very fun. i did do it on an open road that i could see about 10 miles in each direction and the only other people on the road(2 or 3) were doin 100 anyways, lol
i kno my car could have gone faster; when the limiter kicked in, i was at 4100 rpms(redline is at 5900-6000) and i have an auto, which still accelorates when you hold at a rpm if i didnt have that fuel cut, i could have probably hit 125 or more, the car was still pulling

Well now that i think about it my car is off like 5mph when i'm doin 80, so i might actually be goin about 120 when it shuts off. I need to get my friend that's a cop and have him tail me and tell me what it is.

uhhh yea...I have a 2003 Honda (yes a honda) CBR1100xx. Just got it as a gift from my gf (even though I have to pay...no interest for 4 years..then i have 6 to pay it.) Haven't had a chance to drive it yet because of the arm but it will be good again in two weeks.. My uncle drove and my buddy adam and they looked like they just saw a ghost after they got off of it..
So I can't wait.

Anyone with 16" plus rims is probably going up to 5mph faster than their speedos are reading, so your all underestimating your cars abilities >>

Why is that 16" change our speedo?
Not necessarily, if you get the right tire size to make it accurate it shouldn't change it all..i know if i put 225 /35 -18s on my car it would be the same. Or so it says "0.0% off."
