yup, hit the Prnt Scrn key copies whatever image is on your screen to the clipboard. then open paint (hit the window key + r then type "mspaint" without the quotes to easily launch paint in windows) then once paint is open, hit Ctrl + V to paste the image from the clipboard to paint, then save as normal and your set!
in other operating systems other than windows, you can easily directly save a pic of your screen straight to a file, or take just a shot of specific windows
