Shop that does 3sgte swap? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #19790 37 posts Started by ScoobyDooCruiser
I'm looking for a shop in CA that does the 3sgte swap. I am too lazy to go through the work of doing it myself, and would like to avoid all the hassle by just paying someone to do the work for me. Does anyone have any idea of where I could go for this?

I've seen a couple shops on the east coast that do this, for $6500 they do the entire swap for you, parts and everyhting. Anywhere in CA or OR, or NV that does this? If you know of one, let me know!

Bryan(thedevilmaycrie) works for a shop that does swaps, and he's got the personal experience with the 3S-GTE into the ST204 specifically. Plus I bet it'll be a lot faster than E.L. Prototypes...I hear they're often slow.

New Toyota project coming soon...
and, last I heard, EL doesn't do Toyota's anymore- they were trying to sell off a 3sgte swap car they did so they could focus on Nissan's.

Thats what I heard from Gee (ryu3xwhatever >smile.gif>

I'd be interested in DMC's shop.. hmm
Signal Hill Autoshould also be able to do it for you since I saw a guy selling his celica with 2nd gen 3s-gte awhile back from signal hill auto. I think they primarily do Nissans but they probably could do it for you, but their pretty pricy.
NEVERMIND, I think it was Signal auto >smile.gif>
rofl ty for pointing it out, it is signal auto my thanks for correcting me man
What shops would do it in NJ, im looking to o a swap around summer. Anyone know any good east coast shops and maybe some prices? later
If you're back in paradise... contact the dudes at Chico Race Works...Chico Race Werks... They do mostly MR2 stuff... but may be able to do Celica stuff...

If you're in Norcal, check out Oki from BlackTraxx down in the San Jo area. When I was considering doing a swap, I spoke to him. Heard good things from norcalcelicas.org
I know your in the San Jose area but if you get your clip from VENUS (916-386-2286) in Sacramento, ask them to give you the number to Evolution. They did my work. Really cool guys at both places i reccomend them both. Ask for Bow at Evolution he's the toyota expert there.

hell, if you get all the parts, i MIGHT consider doing it myself.

I'd just have to ask arround to see what shops are charging for this swap.

Unfortunatly i am NOT able to say. I am the 1ST and LAST person that they will do this swap for at that price. So as a favor to them i agreed not to mention it to anyone else that doesnt already know. Like i mentioned give them a call they are cool people.

Well doesn't that suck.... Does anybody know a ballpark figure of what they would charge?
I love it when people ask how much someone will charge for something. Its easier to pick up the phone and ask them than it is to type it on here. Plus, the information you receive will be much more accurate.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
it's about time someone said that.

Just call them yourselves, and they'll be able to answere all your questions.

damn i didnt know i was being talked about in here... well if you need info or need me or my shop to do the swap lemme know

Bah.... who wants to do that.... I'm too lazy. >tongue.gif> I was just curious is all.... this isn't something I plan on doing for a long while so I'm gathering as much info with as little effort as I can.
well if you have all the parts .... i can do it for 600... you pay half now half when finished (the 600 is labor only you pay for all parts i need)

well i talked to them about the 3sgte swap into the celica before

he told me they do them alot in the mr2 and he his guy can prolly do the celica swap

i know for a fact they have worked on celica before cuz i talked to him about how they did mikemodsons celica in there...

soo if you really want it done and you talk to them i'm sure they can do it..they do great work there and the crew is really nice
why dont you guys just do the swap on your own? sure its hard work, but you learn so much in the process. its part of the fun of swaping. not only do you upgrade the car, you upgrade you car skills too! >smile.gif>

I'd love to but I live in an appartment and have no where to do the work and nowhere to store the car while I'd be doing the work.
