Yokos or BFGoodrich? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #19977 5 posts Started by saleeka
Im about to buy a new set of rubber for the car, and im leaning towards these two tires- Yokohama Avid V4S or BFgoodrich Traction T/A. Anybody have experence with either of these tires? Any input would be appreciated >smile.gif> My priorites are to mantain a sporty feel with good grip, and I do need snow traction. They are replacing some Perelli P600 SV's that, quite frankly, were a dissapointment...

BFGOODRICH KDW tires are 100% perfect
Saleka, you may want to check out the extensive reviews on tirerack.com. The information they include with each tire is amazing. If you are looking for a performance all season 15", I recommend the Continental Conti-extreme contacts. I have them on my car (17") and I think they are the highest rated all season in the 15" by tirerack. Good luck.

I just put the BFG Traction T/A's on my 97 GT, took about a 1000 miles to get them seated in and used to them, But I like them now, not quite as crisp as the orig Michelin Pilots, about the same as the yokohamas (660's? OE on 2001 GT-S), but it may just be that the michelins were pretty thin on tread, AND THEY GO GOOD IN SNOW unlike the yokohama's or michelins, guess I'll find out how they are on ice tomorrow or wed.. the forecast here is NOT pretty
and they are reasonably quiet, handle great all the way up to 90 or so, havn't been much over that.

Cept in the rain or snow. And they wear quickly. Also their expensive and not what I think he's looking for.
But you're correct in believe they are a great tire. One of my fav summer tires
