Celica got towed =( - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #20167 17 posts Started by amysmojo
So I was on my way to Seattle to hang out w/ Natalie for the weekend....& I hit something (no idea what!!!) & my tire blew >frown.gif> SO I was stuck @ a Chevron 40 miles from home for about 2 & 1/2 hours w/ flocks of men trying to change my tire for me LOL (well ok not flocks but at least 8 guys)

Anyway no one had the right tools to take off my wheel!!! And I didnt have a stupid key to get the lug nuts off sooooo I had to have my baby towed...

The worst part is that my wheel is cracked on the inside so now I need a new tire AND wheel GRRR!!!

Thats not stopping me from having fun this weekend though! Natalie is pulling up in my driveway any minute to take me back to Seattle w/ her >biggrin.gif>

picture is blury...my hands were frozen & I was shaking from the cold lol (it started snowing after I took this pic)

nice flatbed tow! >smile.gif>
Ha that sucks, ame thing happend to me when i had my bimmer, but some reason a guy got a guy from the local bmw dealership to come out and help me then gave me a ride in the new z4, that was fun. but the next week sucked.
That sucks! Hide you lug nut socket in your car though in the future.
just look at it as leason learned .. you might want to keep you lugnut keysocket on your keys like i do... take it to a machien shope and have them drill a hole in it so you canput a key ring on it...

isnt that a really heavy keychain?

I say just keep it in your car. I figure if they break into your car, they are either going to steal the stereo or steal the car. If they wanted the wheels, then they are not going to bother taking the time breaking into your car and searching for the key when they can just go to another car.

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
I would have had a key if I knew I NEEDED a key. I didnt know anything about that when I bought my car a year ago w/ the rims already on it. The car dealer guy didnt give me a key & didnt mention a key so how am I to know >frown.gif>

Anyway GOOD NEWS!! I called the dealership I bought the car from & he called america's tire co & is hookin me up w/ a free tire WOO! But I still have to pay for a new rim >frown.gif> $175 grrrrr (with a possible $25 - 30 discount not sure yet)
just be glad your car is towable. I can't even tow my car. Cops try to tow me one night and the tow truck driver showed up, shook his head and left.

If you don't have the key, then get a lifetime warranty 19mm socket or something similar that will fit your lock nut, and pound that thing in, then use a breaker bar to get it out..

Then look all confused and play stupid, and exchange/refund it.. Ha ha.. I'm evil.. I exchanged it.. Because I needed a 19mm socket.. I don't know what size will fit your lock lug though.. If you have them.
I finaly got ahold of my friend, he came over just now & put the spare on for me. Im not sure what size he used but something like what your talking baout Im sure. I wont get to drive my car anywhere for a few days though, I gotta wait for the new wheel to come in. Its cracked on the inside no wonder it wouldnt hold any air >tongue.gif> I wanna know what I hit! Somethin that doesnt like me lol
a lawn gnome.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
Probably a puppy or a litter of kittens.

Naaa none of those things, I think maybe it was a pot hole or something that doesnt like low profile tires lol
OK I guess getting my new wheel isnt as easy as I thought! They had to special order it & I was told it would be in on the 12th or 13th. So I called them yesterday on the 13th & it turns out the stupid place they ordered it from sent them the wrong wheel! So they put this Konig on my car until the other comes in (which is hopefully today):

Its a 16" so im pimpin three 17"s & one 16" haha, oh & they gave me a wheel key Woohoo!
