any word on what engine and how much power the 06 z06 will have?

edit:

i just looked through that site.

i cant believe they did what i hoped they would. make the most powerful engine they have made yet, and call it the ls-7

too bad the car looks like a botched ferrari design

The lexus one will be making the 500 bhp but will not be having a 7.0 L engine but probably half than that.

I'll be going next Tuesday. I'll get lots of pics as usual. But this year I've got a great digicam to take up. It'll be my fourth year in a row!

any 6gc'ers going to the public show?

i first saw a glimpse of that eclipse here at the anaheim auto show back in november. i fell in love with it so much i might get it. it was marked to be a hybrid with 520 hp but i guess they did away with that? by this time next year i should have enough to pay it in cash, so we'll see if im still willing to shell it all out.

The sky reminds me of a Miata or a S2000..... RWD, Front Engine, almost 50/50 weight distribution. Looks real good on paper and pictures.

The Sky is neat until you add that whole 'Saturn' prefix.

O yeah...you can say that again. It just looks like such an extreme mismatch. Just take that saturn emblem off and attach a toyota or honda emblem....it just makes a profound effect on your perception of it hehe.

Now... IMO the 4th gen eclipse looks more like the natural progression of the eclipse line from the 2nd gen. It is more smooth from 2nd gen to 4th gen than 2nd to 3rd gen was IMO. IDK tho...3400 lbs thats a heavy boy. I like it beter than the 3rd gens anyway. I think the 3rd gens were just real bland.

This side view reminds me of the last Cougar:

I would disagree with that statement. I think that the 2nd gen eclipse is the best preferrable a 90-91 body style GS-t or GS-x They are so freakin hot and fast!

90-94 is 1st gen Eclipse

95-99 is 2nd gen Eclipse

That sideview of the 4th gen is like 2nd gen Eclipse, Audi TT ass + a little Mercury Cougar.

that vette has a redline of 7k, not bad at all
