Hello everyone,
First let me say my name is Robert , I'm 16, and I've been looking on this site since about July when I had started looking for a celica. I think that these cars are one of the best looking cars out there.

Well, anyway after lookin for several months I finally found a 94 GT Hatch 5 speed about 350 miles away from me a few days before Christmas... So I called the guy up and bought it the next week. It was a long drive but it was worth it.

The car's pretty nice for a 94, it has a "Weapon R" short ram intake.. (idk if its any good) and 18" wheels on it. The windows are tinted pretty dark not sure what percentage... When I took it to my dad's friend, a mechanic, he told me that the catalytic (spelling?) converter had been knocked out. I dont know but I guess the guy before me thought that it would get increased horsepower or something... The car does have 160k miles but it is still running strong. There are no mechanical problems that we know of >biggrin.gif> but my dad says to start saving now for a new engine cause you never know when it will quit on me...

Since I've gotten it the only thing I have done to it is I changed the guages to light up red (thanks for the tutorial btw) and I had to turn all the rotors.

Well, just telling you a bit about my car, I will try to get some pics of my car tomorrow in my profile...

My plans for the car is a 3sgte swap, nothing else maybe a nice body kit and new wheels.... Im sure this is pretty much everyone's dream for their car but I want to try hard to make it come true.

I just bought an HKS Carbon Ti muffler from Dahoman9 , so im hoping that will sound good...

Well, thats all I got to say,
I hope to become a part of the 6gc community and learn alot from everyone,

Thanks,
Rob
welcome to the family my child >smile.gif>

Taaking out the cat does help exhaust flow >wink.gif>
lol I cant make pics right now its too dark I'll take some tomorrow after church..

So the cat makes the exhaust flow better? Does it change the sound at all??
Just wondering

Thanks,
Rob
Removing the cat makes the exhaust flow better, but changes the sound a lot too. I know a few members on this site wish they had left the cat in because it sounds so different now (not to their liking)
sounds like a nice deal I kinda wish I had gotten a 94 gt but when I was looking pickings were slim. Still are for one reason or another our cars are somewhat umcommon.
My 5sfe is in its second car with 195K on it and still running strong, outta my 94 GT.

Good luck with the car it's a blast.

i personally would just knock out the cat... if i were u i would change the whole piping and leave ur resignator in it or if there isnt' on in i would put one in.. i took out my cat an resignator and put 2.25 inch mandre(sp) bend piping sounded good at the start but kind sounds grose now.... but good luck with the car... treat her nice and she will stay healthy...
welcome to the boards.

I am going to take an Engine picture so you can see the intake so I'll put that up in a bit..

Enjoy the pictures.. Let me know what you think about the wheels... Im thinkin of getting 17's and selling these.. I want Enkei RS5s

Thanks,
Rob
Welcome! Your car looks pretty damn clean man. How much did it set you back?

Id say that looks to be 20% tint. Looks great! Wheels are alittle blingy, but the enkei RS5s would look awesome
Yeah I dont care much for the wheels either.. The car cost me 3600 not too bad i guess but at first I was concerned about buying a car with this much mileage. Then i realized the sooner my engine dies the sooner i could get a new one lol.

Its pretty clean inside as well there are no rips in the seats or anything the only thing I need is to get the middle armrest reupholstered because it has a 1.5" tear in it.
The car looks nice and clean. Personally, I like the rims.

A Jaws4God Creation...
I like those wheels. Keep em. Also, I'd drop it, and mate that muffler w/ 2.25 piping.

I would have bought it for 3600.

Besides...It takes a good 100k miles to break the yota motor in >wink.gif> Just maintain the car well and you will have plenty of time to save up for a swap
