people with suvs are just crazy in general now with a woman behind an suv you've got a possible problem, but i'm not busting on all women; there are good woman dirvers out there but their just not in my state.

I had a 94 Explorer before this and went through 2 transmissions - needless to say I wont be buying another Ford.

And actually it was built in the US >> in the Subaru factory since they're both owned by the same company.

ford exploders are just junk all american in general is junk their quality doesn't compare. i had a friend in HS and she rolled her explorer

Sorry Mac we hijacked. I disagree that ALL American is junk, Jeep has a very good reputation and yields no problems. My mom's on her 3rd Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I agree on quality but frankly ford chevy and GM are the top sellers for trucks and suvs in the country.

they may be top sellers cuz the govt controls the importation of the vehicles. of course they aren't gonna let the jap cars take over the country, but more and more people are seeing that american cars just plainly suck and their crossing the tracks and gettin an import.

Its funny, look in the pic i posted of my explorer, u'll see a Jeep and another Ford, an 88 Bronco, which really hasnt had any problems.

Another reason for the top sellers in trucks, GM, Ford and Chevy were the only ones to offer large trucks. Only now with the Titan, an the Tundra has Jap companies started to compete.

no whats worse is high school girls whose parents get them an suv because if they get in a wreck they will win.... That pisses me off because I know several who have them and cannot drive. Add in the fact that half the time they are chatting with friends in the car or on the phone and my little celi is gonna become a pancake someday.

Now if you want to talk making something illegal talk to the idiots who go and put 24+ inch rims on their trucks and change the suspension. I was sitting behind a guy at a red light and his bumper was in line with the top of my car. I run into that and I'd get decapitated in a heartbeat all because that guy wants to look like he drives a monster truck....

i was just really pissed .... she said she didn't see me... how they hell with those bright ass lights i have... and her husban was even more pissed then me... she just wasn't paying attention... which i see happening more with women in suv's .. they have this false sencse of security in them.. and that makes it dangours for people like me in small cars..

not all american vehciles are crap. i have a friend with a 94 chevy blazer that has been beat to hell and still runs strong... even after 100k . my other friend has a ford tempo that he takes off roading and it still runs strong. and somehoe he can run it withtout coolant dont ask me how that works. its how the vehicle has been taken care of. sure toyota will always have a higher quality vehicle than ford or chevy or any other car for that matter. but american cars are still good.

my mom drives an 03 santa fe because she feels safer being above all the traffic. i am scared to drive that car (or be in the car when she is driving), you really can't tell where any corner of the car is, and it tips on every turn

my dad has a 02 CR-V and that thing rides like a car, you have great control over the it.

i have also driven an H2 and i seriously thing you have much more usable storage space in the CR-V (we can fit 2 50' plasma screens in the CR-V but not in the H2)

what really scares me is when a lady comes right next to my car in her suburban, escalade, expedition, h2 etc. and i can't see her face because their car is so huge, it feels like they would run me over if they don't see me

I'm sorry to hear about your car Mac, first for the poor Celi and second for your insurance. I heard you guys in NJ have the highest insurance rates in the country. And I hope they didn't increase your insurance from the last accident.

thanks kid.. and yea.. they did raise it from the last time... but thats just cause they couldn't charge the state for when the cop hit me.. and from the time before cause it was a hit and run .. but this time i should be fine since i got the womens infor and she admitted to the cop it was her fault ...
