Possible GB - Ramps for Lowered Cars - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #20484 12 posts Started by jgreening
I am considering buying a set of these ramps. They are 66" long, 14" wide and 10" high. They are made of aluminum and have a capacity of 3000 lbs (remember only the front of your car will be on them). They are normally $310 shipped. If anyone else is interested I will see if they will do a group buy price.

They sell those composite ones for like $40 for a pair locally. >wink.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
$40? Can I have the info?

Well I know at my local Schucks they had a pair that supports 12,000 lbs and had a fairly shallow angle for $40. They were something like this.

They look like they are about 24" long. I have a pair like that and they don't cut it for the Celi. $40 does sound good though....

Looks like Autozone carries the same thing. I am going to go take a look.

heh, i was gonna say...i can make those >smile.gif>

def not worth over $300
at the most i'd pay $150, but it better be PURRRFECT

cool idea though...i'll stick w/ a jack for now
actually that wasn't autozone those are Advanced auto i have them at work

yea they are that cheap but not good for a lowered car
I saw the ones that Coomer posted in the store yesterday and they are just like my other ones. They are about 30" long and only about 7" high. I don't like using a jack to change the oil so I am looking for some better ones. If anyone knows of some longer ones that are cheaper, I would be game. If not, I am going to pick up a set of these others. Yea, they are somewhat expensive - but you will have them forever.

just a tip for you guys that have a hard time getting a jack under the car with it lowered...hit your local lowes or home depot or whatever, get a couple "patio blocks"..theyre like 18x12x2..set them up in front of the wheels, drive up on em, and bango.. >wink.gif> couple more inches of clearance for your jack..

im kind of sick of having a lowered car. it was ok before, but now with the extra 3sgte weight, it sits to low for my taste. getting a jack under it is a pain too.

yeah .. I have to use the stock car jack, raise it like 3 inches then slide mine under, it sucks.. makes it take to long for an oil change.
