this is like a reversing warning ! but i've never seen it before on this car....

Low brake fluid gets my vote.

JDM ST205Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying.
i am not so sure if i am right but if i understand correctly what dash warning light you meant, you propoply need to change one of the light bulb's on your cars back..........

Mmmm. Some jap cars got a brake light failure warning lamp.

I didn't think the 205 did, but on the other hand - I've never blown a bulb either....

when u turn the key u see the lamp on the dash light. its on the top corner next to rpm meter.
My girlfriend's toyota camry has a light out in the back, i havn't gotten around to fixing it yet. But anyway, yes, that's what that means. You have tail light out, maybe even a license plate

The most important lesson I learned from Karate-Dô Kyôshan–“You can not be what you do not believe you are”
thats what it sounds like to me tail light, brake light, back up lights
Just open and close your hatchback.

Ok guys,

I'll re check all my rear lights again !

yeah recycle that's the one i mean, it's not on any other celica, i check in
over the weekend >frown.gif>

so it could just be a loose wire even.....

Gas65..... why ???

if ur car comes with parking lights check fuses
Hmmm now that's a good idea...

it's a jap' import so there's a good chance it's parkinging light fuse, plus it's on the drivers side >smile.gif>

thanks...... now to play hunt the fuse <:) unless you havew any idea's where that is ?????

Us Americans don't have that warning light so I was giving you ideas as to what it might be. I used to own a Honda that had a warning light that would kick on when you hit a bump if the hatchback was'nt shut down tight.
Thank's gas65, now i see where your coming from, yeah could of been an idea >smile.gif>

recycle >smile.gif> that's where i thought it would be, blin it's a bit like looking for a pin in a hay stack >wink.gif> there's lots of extra boxes and fuses under my hood >wink.gif> ..........

i'll let you know how it goes, after i check it tonight ......

hmmm 4 fuse boxes under hood and two in cockpit .........
one by hood release looked promising, but all fuses OK and nothing for a park light !!!!!!!!!!!!!

re checked lights again, all ok at back, just side light out <:(
guess i need a trip to get wiring checked ................

I had the same problem on my GT4 when i changed my rear lights. if there is no light when you start up the car and when you press the brakes the light come on, then one of you brake light bulbs is burnt. more specifically, the bulb has 2 springs that light up. one is the low that lights up when you turn on your lights and the other spring in the bulb is the one that makes a brighter light when you brake. When you start up the car its ok, but when you press the brakes, the burnt light triggers the sensor to indicate that you have a burnt brake light bulb.
Neoklis is right. The rear light bulbs have 2 elements. One parking light and the other lights when braking. The 2 elements have different resistances and sizes. It is
possible to still get a brake light warning light after you've replaced a blown bulb.
This is because the bulb can be fitted accidentally so the elements end up on opposing circuits. If you've changed bulbs recently and still have the dash light
just switch the bulb around 180 degrees. This is the case for jap cars, don't know
if it applies to US models.
its impossible to put the lamp wrong. IMPOSSIBLE.

the 2 pins on the side have different hights and can not be put any other way
