Hey guys,

Lets discuss some ideas for meets for the 2005 season. I'd like to see some location Ideas, activite ideas, and other stuff that would improve attendance numbers.

I have posted plenty of Englishtown (racewaypark) events last year. The first philly meet was great, the Jersey City meet was awesome, HIN @ atlantic city was great as well.

I have an Idea for meets that include give aways or a raffles

Lets get some ideas going so we can have some awesome meets.

maybe we can all do something when it gets warmer? go to the beach, grill a little, car talk, and play some football on that beach. jus throwing things out there >>

Yea we most def should go to the beach .... even if its just a few us we should go.. get the ball started somewhere... I also think it would be call to go to Six Flags GA .... also have a 2nd JC meet ... u guys that where their last time see how much room there is to meet up there and the Cops leave everyone alone ... English town would also be a great place to drive down to and meet up at... .. and we can also do like i seen on other boards have install parties...

Alright, new jersey is EAST lol, north east is MASS and new england thats where the magic should happen hahahah. But i aint against driving to new jersey once of twice, but anything south of that is pretty far. let me know asap on all dates...... i need month in advance notice to get off work,

I'm more than happy to drive anywhere for a meet. I went to pittsburgh for a celi meet. That was a 6 hr trip one way, I'd do it again cause of the great time I had.

I'm interested in going through the different states. You guys up north and south have to come up with locations. hanging out in a parking lot gets kinda boring after a while. This is the reason I always try to do something at englishtown, usually a car show, always drag racing, dirt bike racing, go cart racing.... plenty of things to keep everyone occupied.

Try to keep an eye out for some interesting events in your area.

Saturdays or sundays ?

Saturdays is best for me, sundays i could get also but only if needed. and day pretty mcuh just neeed to know in advance.... If you decide to come massachusetts, we got a whole lot of random crap lol...... i owuld reccomend a red sox game.....(not like any other baseball game youve been to) but they are soo hard to get tickets for with out spending $1000. other than that we got some amusement parks.... six flags biggest one probably.....
Im gonna have to go with 3 day road trip to CANADA! thats where its at right there!!!

i'm in VA and i drove to NJ, HOT import nights, philly, englishtown and a few others so i think more people should be willing......wait manny probably will match me he came to philly from MASS.....
but if anyone is willing
the weekend 15,16,17 i wanna try and hold a meet probably saturday....
there is a nice area reston town center...restraunts, movies, shopping and such with a main strip closed friday and saturday nights......

what i am purposing is goin to require a reasonable about of people meaning i NEED commitement.....
i can talk to the owner and see if we can be let in the strip saturday night for just us celica owners and i am going to open this up to other gen celicas as well.......but i NEED people willing to come and show up
this will be a very public event people from all over the dc area come to this place to hang out and WE will be the center of attention so
lets get a list started...it really doesn't have to be that date but whatever i just want people to commit to this maybe we can even get a little coverage from local paper or sumtin?

I think Six Flags GA is a good idea or any of the other major action/water parks....

i would also like to shot a mini- movie this summer with some 6gc's ... so any of the meets would be great for that... we could all meet up at some ones house and have a House party .. like they did in the FnF ..... that way we could all get to know each other better...

the thing that sucks about a place like 6 flags is that you are away from the cars for most of the day while you are in the park. so people may show up and we might not even know it because we are inside on the rides.

id love to go somewhere car related. like any place that has autoX or 1/4mile track. i think there are a few places in NJ like that.

on a realated note, anyone going to the philly auto show this week?

yea the weekend of the 15th i have a house to myself is what i was goin for just a lil place to chill'n and grill and such havea deck and all with plenty of room.....that and the publicity we would get at Reston would be great

i am going to plan a NYC meet in the summer. either Central Park or the West Side docks will be the destination sites.

There is a track that can be rented out for the day by me. Its about 30 mins north of Pittsburgh, Pa. Its called BeaveRun and its close to a bunch of hotels for people to stay over and there are a lot of things to do around here too. If we could get people to sign up we could rent the track. just wish there was a price on the site, or someone that could get a deal on the price, because im sure something like that aint cheap...
that and we'd have to set a date, collect $ and sent because 50% in non-refundable.

Yeah I'd say 3 is my max, I dont want to drive the car that long, and VA is too far.

last summer i drove probably a total of oo i don't know 20 hours going to and from meets
i'm outside DC in va and i drove to PA for englishtown, NJ of libery State park, NJ for atlantic city and numerous other places.....how long did it take to get to JUST GOIN ONE WAY englishtown=4hours, liberty state park=6, ATL city=4-5 hours thats only 1 way that doesn't count driving around those places then coming back...............

i might even this spring break go to LOUISIANA to go to a show with CHUCHO thats 15 hours one way...........i mean come on people if you arn't willing to go a few hours then you'll never end up at meets

If we go to 6 Flags, its going to not be about the cars, its going to be about rides, which is fine. I like 6Flags, im just saying no guarantee we park together, I dont particularly love crowded lots especially if my cars being recently painted...just concerns I have.

if it's in AC in the summer i'm totally down...it would be awesome to meet up with ya'll.
