you have a 4ac motor. I have the same thing. If you need any help post on 4ag or PM Kwanza. he's really helpful.
thanks i just went and figured out whats wrong but i still dont know what the thing is called

ok for the radiator theres a radiator tube that leads to the this metal tube (im guessing its a water temp with 5 little ports sticking out of it) and that attaches to the cyl. head

i went open it and the gasket was shot so i need a new gasket for that thing but i still dont know whats it called(that metal tube)

anyways i checked 4 ag before i even got this car and i didnt find the info that i was looking for
i dont know what the previous owner did but the thermostat is removed from the car when i bought it and i dont even know how it goes back in
the thermostat just drops in and a retaining plate with an aluminum tube holds it in place. It should be near the top of the engine. If there is no thermostat, it will run really cool... I'd get one. they are fairly cheap.
i paid around 12 bucks for mine and it's easy to install too..

I think thermostat is in the waterpump housing...

Really? that's different...

What he said >biggrin.gif>
ok i found out what it is
its called a coolant pipe inlet with a coolant temp sensor on top with egr valves

anyways theres a gasket on that and thats the problem but thats not the only problem as some of u know that has 2 bolts on top and bottom and the top is broken and i need a diff cylinder just to fix it.... its gonna be alot of work for me since i dont know what im doing
