Thats the transmission, it uses straight cut gears so you got that screaming noise in the high rpms/gears. Im not sure what the advantage is to straight cut gears but the sound is wicked.

^ me too.
straight gears engage quicker, and supposedly wear longer...
i dont see how since there is no slip on, but at the same time...that does make it so there is less time where all the pressure is over less area.

you need quicktime
wow, now that's how to lap the nurburgring >bowdown.gif>

Significantly less transmission losses. Easier to crash change on full throttle.

You are of course aware that that car has pretty much bugger all to do with the road going M3.

It's a dry sumped full on motorsport V8 with an eye watering compression ratio.

John, i need a translation on that 2nd line...

thats the car i guess.... That is one lonnng track
lol...

i have a question though...
it's about rally-style transmissions, how does a simple up-down shift it accordingly? because based off how a normal tranny works...it just confuses me

i know this one has 6 gears normal style, but i have a video of an Esprit w/ spur gears like this car that has a up/down shifter

Nurbergring? About 13 miles with 170 odd corners I think.

Sub 10 minutes is bloody fast. The New M5 can get around in about 8:15.

I'm going soon. 9:30 and I'll be amazed. Sub 10 and I'm happy.
