Emergency Brake - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #20930 7 posts Started by pyro0694
I was just wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the emergency brake cable or adjust the drum pads in order to minimize the e-brake handle travel. I've looked in the Haynes manual and I can't seem to find where it says how to adjust the cable or how many clicks it takes to lock all the way. Any information would be helpful. Thanks. >smile.gif>
its on the drivers side rear tire i believe. This has been covered many times just run a search and you will find your answer.

hows it taste motha f*cka
Just a quicky. Why do you guys call it an "emergancy" brake? 'Cos it's the last thing I go for if I have to stop in a hurry.

It's a handbrake. It always will be a handbrake.

JDM ST205Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying.
hahahaha i call it e-brake lol but i use it in emergencies

last night i was turning in my volvo s40 and hit sum ice started to slide towards a curb at about the corners apex-hand down grab handle pull and back down

kicked the back out just like i wanted and sent me the direction i wanted to saved me from tapping a curb
teh adjustment screw is right under the e-brake. You will have ot take off the console to get at teh screw. They just tighten it down.
I have to pull all the way up to get it to stop. Even then, I roll back when parked up hill. I have to leave that bish in 1st.
